INTRODUCTION

In the study of Chausson (2013) the impact of gender and Big Five personality factors

(Openness Conscientiousness !"traversion #greea$leness and %euroticism) on

visual media preferences (for comedy horror action romance and fantasy film genres)

lead people to come to the conclusion that if you are male then you should prefer action

movies and if you are female you &ould automatically prefer romance movies as &hat

relating themselves as the hero as depicted on the movie' #ction caught the attention of
