Who Made Mothers?

• Who gave them what drives them?

• The Lord God, our Father,by the hand Of Jesus Christ made mothers.

Our God,

the Creator of all things,

made mothers with the qualities

we count on and

see demonstrated in Him

every day.

What He Has Made Tells Us Something About Who He Is

Peace and prosperity will overflow Jerusalem

be nursed at her breasts, carried in her arms,

as a child is comforted by its mother.”

Introduction To the Message Of Ps. 91

1 He who dwells in the shelter of the

Most High will rest in the shadow of the

Almighty.

2 I will say of the LORD, “He is my

refuge and my fortress, my God, in

whom I trust.”

1. Protects Against Enemies Without And Enemies Within

Surely he will save you from the

fowler’s snare and from the deadly

pestilence. 3

SNARE: Stay away from those boys!

They are a bad influence!

DISEASE: Wash your hands!

2. PROMISES FAITHFUL REFUGE AND SHELTER

He will cover you with his feathers, and 4a under

his wings you will find refuge; 4b

his faithfulness will be your shield and rampart. 4c

SHELTER: Here, get under my raincoat – it’s

raining.

REFUGE: If things get difficult for you at school,

come home – Your bed is ready.

SHIELD: I am going to talk to the principal about

this!

Fear

You will…

Not fear the terror of night,

Nor the arrow that flies by day,

Nor the pestilence that stalks in the

darkness,

TERROR: What you heard and saw was lighting. It is scary but won’t hurt you here.

VIOLENCE: Be alert and stay away from those

places. You will be safe from random violence.

PESTILENCE: Wash your hands and keep them

away from your mouth, nose and eyes.

PLAGUE: Billy got sick from undercooked

meat. We watch out for that here.

Excursus (Digression)

A thousand may fall at your side, ten thousand at your right hand, but it will not come near you. 7

WAR: If called to military service, God will

protect you. I’ll pray for you.

Summary of HisPromise and Protection

The Big “IF”: “If you make the Most High your dwelling – even the LORD, who is my refuge…” 9

The consequences: “…then no harm will befall you, no disaster will come near your tent.

Supernatural Intervention

11 For he will command his angels concerning

you to guard you in all your ways;

12 they will lift you up in their hands, so that you

will not strike your foot against a stone.

13 You will tread upon the lion and the cobra;

you will trample the great lion and the serpent.

Why does he do this? How is this possible?
