Most Market Roundup May 09th,2017 BLACK FOX EQUITY Market Sensex 29933.25 (+0.02) Nifty 9316.85 (+0.03) Closing Bell: BSE Sensex closed higher by 7 points, or 0.02%, to 29,933, while the Nifty 50 rose 3 points, or 0.03%, to 9,317. BSE Sensex closed flat on Tuesday as investors booked profits in recent outperformers such as Ambuja Cements Ltd and ACC Ltd, while banks erased gains from the previous session’s rally. Caution also prevailed ahead of a late spell of quarterly earnings, with Bharti Airtel slated to announce results later in the day. Asian shares were also subdued as investors looked for the next catalyst after France’s presidential election. The recent rally in banks was a bit overdone as there is still not much clarity with regard to how the government’s ordinance for tackling bad debt will pan out. PowerGrid Corp. of India declined as much as 0.64% to Rs208.60 after the company said that Department of Telecommunications, Ministry of Communications, Government of India has granted unified license dated 2 May 2017 to the company with national long distance and internet service provider-category A service authorizations for providing telecom services. The licence is valid for 20 years. Nocil hits 52-week high to rise 3.47% to Rs 111.70 on BSE after net profit rose 13% to Rs 25.46 crore on 7.4% increase in net sales to Rs 190.81 crore in Q4 March 2017 over Q4 March 2016.Meanwhile, the S&P BSE Sensex was up 19.47 points, or 0.07% at 29,945.62. The S&P BSE Small-cap index was up 60.45 points, 0.39% at 15,523.03. Shares of CMI gained as much as 2.75% to Rs213.30 per share after it was awarded an order worth Rs36.24 crore by Gujarat Energy Transmission Corporation for supply of 66 KV XLPE cables. The order is revenue accretive and will be delivered in two quarters of 2017-18. Shares of Ramky infrastructure gained 2.72% to Rs113.20 per share after the company won a Rs 337 crore highway project in Jharkhand from National Highways Authority of India. Shares of Godrej Consumer Products surged as much as 8.36 per cent and hit their fresh 52-week high in Tuesday’s trade after the company reported over 3-fold rise in consolidated net profit for the quarter ended March 31, 2017. For Jan-March period, the company registered bottom line figures of Rs 389.91 crore, up 212 per cent, against Rs 124.84 crore in the corresponding quarter last year. Shares of DCW Ltd (up 5.01 per cent), Cords Cable Ind (up 5.04 per cent), JSW Energy (up 5.23 per cent), Shyam Century Ferrous Ltd. (up 5.33 per cent), Sicagen India (up 6.11 per cent), Store One Retail (up 6.70 per cent), Excel Realty (up 6.98 per cent), Uttam Value Stl (up 7.69 per cent), Genus Paper & Boards Ltd. (up 8.57 per cent), Ansal Properties (up 8.32 per cent) and VLS Finance (up 9.16 per cent) were trading over 5 per cent higher. Shares of ABB India surged as much as 12.57 per cent in early trade on Wednesday to their highest levels in nearly 10 years. The company on Monday posted 3.2 jump in net profit at Rs 88.17 crore for the March quarter this year.
