Morning Brook Farm is located in the heart of Harford County, Maryland.

The area’s pristine countryside and breathtaking natural surroundings,

combined with its commuting convenience to Baltimore City, Baltimore

County, Bel Air, and Delaware, make Morning Brook Farm an ideal place

to live. Harford County, Maryland, was discovered in 1608 by famed

Captain John Smith (of the Pocahontas legend). The area was mapped out

and was included as part of Baltimore County. The first settlement was

believed to have been established in 1622. In 1774, the area was divided and

Harford County was named for Henry Harford, the son of the last Lord of

Baltimore, Frederick Calvert. Fallston, originally named Little Falls, was no

more than a country settlement with a few scattered homes, three stores,

two shoemaker shops and a blacksmith shop in 1878. The Quaker

settlement chose the name, Little Falls, because of the proximity of the falls

on the nearby Little Gunpowder River to the village. Fallston was the first

stop in the county of the MD & PA Railroad after it left Baltimore County

on its way to York, Pennsylvania. Fallston today retains its unspoiled rural

charm, but it is now balanced with commuting convenience to major areas

of business and industry. At Morning Brook Farm, you can be within
