With more than 550,000 data entries Wheelmap.org is the world‘s most extensive database on wheelchair accessible places. A brand new tool ena-bles you to become part of this database so that tourists and citizens can find even more places which they can access with ease!

All the work you have already done to gather information on accessible locations can be incorporated within Wheelmap.org. This will drastically increase the reach of your information to a worldwide community. The founders of the award winning platform Wheelmap.org developed a tool with which data on accessibility raised by the crowd can be combined with data owned by cities and regions.

This campaign is recommended by MyAccessible.EU, a project funded by the European Union, with the aim of improving accessibility in European cities.

Collectively improving accessiblility in European cities

An initiative of CAP4Access, a project co-funded by the 7th Framework Programme of the European Union

Wheelmap.org was founded in 2010 by the Berlin based non-profit organization Sozial-helden e.V.

The award-winning project is available in 22 languages and as Android and iOS apps. More than 550,000 locations have already been rated on their wheelchair accessibility and 300 entries are added daily. The data is provided under an open data licence and is free to use (OpenStreetMap).
