February 6th, 2016: “Code for a Cause” - an

Event co-ordinate by Prof. shyamala G and

Prof. Saritha A N, Protocol Club, BMSCE,

Department of Computer Science & Engg, in

association with HackerRank, conducted an

innovative coding competition for the students

of CSE 4th and 6th Sem. The event was

named "Code for a Cause" because we had

raised the funds of the competition to a NGO

"Ananda Sagara". Totally around 30 students

registered for this event and we raised RS.

3000 for the NGO.

programme of "Use of ICT in Education for

Online and Blended Learning" conducted by

IIT Bombay through online from 2nd May

2016 to 17th July 2016. A total of 2180

participants were found to be eligible for

certificate and among these, 251 participants

were found to be eligible for SAP Award of

October 22nd, 2016: With the mission to

promote higher quality of UG students

projects an External Audition was organized

to review the final year projects of Dept. of

CSE. In this connection, all our department's

7th Semester projects were appraised, by

experts from the Industries, for its relevance in

aspects of its innovation, technological tool

usage, societal importance, environmental

issues, etc. The aim is to bring out the best

hidden talent in our students and to motivate

them through the valuable advice from the

industry experts.

The external audition was held on 22nd

October, 2016. The industry panel members

were:

Three parallel review sessions were held for

the forty-two project batches. Students made

presentations and the panel reviewed them and

gave valuable inputs. This event was

organized by Ms Nagarathna N - Project

Coordinator, Dept. of CSE..
