Religious Education
the classes take place every Saturday (unless otherwise) and we ask all parents to bring their children on time to begin at 4:30 pm and finish precisely at 6 pm.
Ladies Guild
All Adult women are invited to join St. Maron’s Ladies Guild. Women gather to serve, pray and assist those in need. Please see Therese Assi for details and membership.
Parish council
Since we have no candidates for the parish council after announcing it for many months, the Priest, by the law given to him by the eparchy, is willing to appoint members to advise and help him to serve the parish for its need. Once he has the list of the members of the council he will announce it to the public.
Eucharistic Adoration
The Eucharistic adoration (No Mass) takes place every last Thursday from every month at 6pm, and there will be confession during the adoration and after….
Ash Monday:
On Monday February 24, 2020 we will have Mass & the Blessing of Ashes
at 7:00 pm with the distribution of ashes at the end of the liturgy.
Everyone please remember to fast on Ash Monday.
Stations of the Cross:
Every Friday starting on February 28 and on February 22, & 0n March 6, 13,
20, 27, 2020. During the Season of Lent we will walk in prayer with Christ
tracing the steps leading up to His Passion and death on the Cross.
We invite all of you to come to the Stations and the Benediction of the Cross
at 7:00 pm.
FASTING & ABSTINENCE: Ash Monday and Great Fr iday of the Crucifixion are days of
total abstinence from meat and all meat products. In addition to being days of abstinence from
meat and meat by products, they are days of mandatory fast, i.e., NOTHING but water is
consumed from midnight until noon. One main meal may be consumed after noon. Water and
medicine do not break the fast. The law of abstinence binds all Maronite Catholics over four-teen
(14) years of age. The law of fasting binds all Maronite Catholics between the age of eighteen
(18) and sixty (60). You are encouraged to fast on all Wednesdays and Fridays of Great Lent; and
as many additional days as you find appropriate.
