What Do Stephen Ministers Do?

Stephen Ministers are members of our church who have gone through 50 hours of training to provide confidential, one-to-one Christian care to people who are facing a crisis or simply going through a difficult time. A Stephen Minister meets with his or her care receiver once a week for around an hour to listen, care, pray, and provide emotional and spiritual encouragement. Men are matched with male Stephen Ministers, and women are matched with female Stephen Ministers. To find out more about how someone you know could be matched with a Stephen Minister, talk with our Stephen Ministry Leader: Carolyn England (734) 497-8965.

Reminder: If you are interested in being part of the Easter Choir please come and join us on Sunday afternoons for rehearsal, starting February 10th at 4:30 pm in the choir room. Music will be available on Sunday, January 27th in the choir room.

The Drama Ministry Team is looking for willing participants for our 2019 Easter Program. Men are especially needed. No experience is necessary. Those who have been in past programs are also needed. New faces are encouraged to join in this exciting opportunity to portray the Easter story to our church family and community. Children (6th Grade & younger) who may want to be in the Easter Program must be accompanied by an adult in the program.

There will be an informational meeting in the sanctuary January 27th at 5:35 p.m.

Your 2018 Contribution Statements are ready to be picked up

before and after services. Someone will be in the hallway across from Room 105 to hand them out. You may ONLY pick up your own statement. The remaining statements will be mailed by January 31st. Thank you for your cooperation and help in saving postage!

To everyone who supported the ministry at the craft sale on October 19th and 20th. You were all so generous in donating baked goods and crafts. Thank you also for attending the sale and for purchasing our craft items and homemade baked goods & preserves. Because of you $1,764.00 was raised from the baked goods and $7,445.91 from craft items. A grand total of $9,209.91 was made to go in its entirety to be used where needed in the church budget.

All women are welcome to join the Craft Ministry. We meet each Tuesday between 10 am & 3 pm. Contact Sue Revels, at (734) 755-0970 or Jane Whitwam at (734) 497-4080 or any Craft Ministry attendees.

We hope this encourages you to continue supporting the Craft Ministry and serve faithfully so that all things of God will be glorified.

R.A.’s will be selling derby kits on Wednesday’s in room 205 for $4.25 per kit. If you have questions or would like

to purchase a kit, please see Joel Watters.

The cutoff date to purchase a kit is February 15th. R.A.’s will work on the cars every Wednesday night (6:30)

in the wood shop (maintenance building).

Adults and leaders are encouraged to build a car.
