ABSTRACT)

9/11 events were a group of terrorist attacks carried out by members of al- Qaeda who

destroyed several buildings killing approximately 3000 people these events changed the

world in different ways! "ven though investigations were carried by the #!$ authorities%

the lack of answers led the people to start searching for their own answers! &s they started

investigating% they discovered inconsistencies in the 'fficial version of the attacks given by

their government! (heir doubts led them to build theories about the 9/11 attacks! 'ne of the

most accepted is the )*et it happen on purpose+ theory!

(he )*,'.+ theory states that the #!$ authorities had foreknowledge of the terrorist

attacks but they let them happen for specific reasons! (his theory is supported by extensive

researches% which have given the truthers strong arguments to defend their theory! $cience

has been involved too% as physicists such as $teve ones have carried out scientific

researches on this subect% which proves that the )*,'.+ theory is a solid theory based on

research!

&ccording to the truthers% the main reason for letting the attacks happen was that the

government needed a ustification to invade other countries so they could take resources

from them and 9/11 gave them the reason they needed! "ven though the #!$ government

has tried to clear the #!$ citiens2 doubts there is still unsolved uestions surrounding the

events that happened on that worldwide sadness day!

=any years ago% a tragic event changed the lives of all human kind! ,t is still hard to

understand or accept the reason of it and no matter what beliefs you have% social status or

race everyone still remembers that day!

$eptember 11th% >001 is a date that with only mentioning it% brings back a wave of horror%

desperation and sadness all over the world! "veryone was shocked and could not believe

what they were seeing at that moment! ow a man could be responsible for such damage

not only to private properties but also to thousands of peopleF ow cold hearted someone

has to be to do thatF =any uestions% perhaps not only one answer!

4haos came along with all the losses on that day! "conomic instability was the common

problem among governments% enterprises and individuals after the destruction of the (win

(owers! 8ut also it implanted fear all over the world! Bear of a new attack% fear of people

and what they are capable of doing for many reasons! & massive campaign against

terrorism was created and promoted after the fall of the (win (owers! (he #nited $tates

government pointed out the one who supposedly executed the events of that tragic day and

people panicked at the idea of being near to someone like the one who was guilty!

8ut if we analye the facts% can we still think this was a terrorist attack ust searching for

revengeF ,n this document the reader will find relevant information about the 9/11 events%

the people involved in it and its causes and conseuences in order to expand the reader2s

knowledge about this event! &lso% the paper will present another point of view of the

events a polemic theory named )*et it happen on purpose+% the arguments that support it

and even unsolved uestions and strange cases that happened on 9/11 so the reader can

analye the topic basing in many other points of view and not ust one!

(he main motive for writing this document is the desire of making people understand that

they should not have only one perspective about a topic% they need to open their minds to

other points of view and also start uestioning the information they read in order to know

the real truth! ,t must be clarified that this document is purely investigative% expositive and

explicative its general obective is to present a new side of the story in order to allow the

reader to generate their own point of view of the events so they can draw their own

conclusions!

'n $eptember 11% >001% the #nited $tates suffered four of the world2s worst terrorist

attacks executed by members of the terrorist group &l Qaeda! ,n this tragic day% 19 &l

Qaeda members hiacked four planes and used them to execute several attacks in the #$

territory!

(he terrorists divided themselves into four groups for hiacking each plane! (he first two

hiacked flights were &merican &irlines Blight 11 and #nited &irlines Blight 1EG both of

them crashed into the (win (owers of the ?(4 complex in :ew @ork 4ity !(he third

flight hiacked was &merican &irlines Blight EE% which was crashed into a small section of

the .entagon in 5irginia! & fourth plane% #nited &irlines Blight 93% crashed near

$hanksville% .ennsylvania after the passengers tried to overcome the terrorists its main

target was the 4apitol in ?ashington ;!4! 7See Anne8 #+ and #-9!

#$ authorities reported that almost 3000 people died in the attacks >G9G people died inboth of the (win (owers% >HH died in the four airplanes Cincluding the 19 terroristsD and

1>G people died in the .entagon! "ven though a lot of people died in the attacks% 13000

people survived because of the brave actions of firefighters and law enforcement officers!

(hese terrorist attacks caused immediate response from the #!$ government% which

declared the )?ar against terrorism+ receiving support from countries like Brance% 6ussia%

7ermany and 7reat 8ritain! 7eorge ?! 8ush% #!$ .resident% adopted domestic reactions

after the attack that included creating the :$& to increase the national security and passing

a set of laws like #$& .&(6,'( &4(!

Quickly after the terrorist attacks the B8, and :$& started investigating the terrorists and

their criminal records! 8ecause of the investigations% suspicion fell on al-Qaeda! ,n >001%

the leader of this organiation% 'sama bin *aden% denied being responsible for the terrorist

attacks in a conference% in which he stated

II insist that I did not bring out this act, which appears to have been executed by

individuals with their own reasons. (Bin Laden, 2001).

$ome months after this conference% #$ troops found a footage in a destroyed house in

alalabad% &fghanistan in which 'sama bin *aden admitted being responsible of 9/11

terrorist attacks while talking to Ahaled al-arbi!

=ohamed al-Aahtani could have oined the hiackers but the #!$ ;epartment of

omeland $ecurity denied his access to the country! e was captured in

&fghanistan and now is a prisoner in 7uantamo!

Kacarias =oussaoui was going to replace Kiad arrah when he was about to

abandon the plan% but finally he did not and decided to participate! Kacarias was

captured four weeks before the attacks!

'ther al-Qaeda members that tried to participate were $aeed al-7hamdi% =ushabib al-

amlan% (awfi bin &ttash% &li &bdul &i &li% and Kakariyah "ssabar!

(here are many theories about the possible causes of why al-Qaeda committed the 9/11

attacks! &ccording to the #!$ government investigations the reasons of the attacks were

expressed by 'sama 8in *aden and other members of al- Qaeda such as Ahaled al-arbi

in a letter written by 8in *aden called )*etter to &merica+% which was written in

:ovember >00> 7See Anne8 #/9! ,n this letter he stated that the following motives caused

the attacks

stated that the #!$ government was helping ,srael to expand its territory and take

stated that they will try to erase every country that contributes to ,srael expansion!

to the economic and politic sanctions imposed to ,ra by the #!$ government after

the ,rai invasion of Auwait! 'sama called these sanctions as Ithe greatest mass

#!$ government has a special reason to invade &rabic territories that reason is to

steal resources from their holy lands that is why 8in *aden states that 9/11 events

were committed in order to force the #!$ government to leave their territory!

&fter the attacks% several video tapes were released and given to the #!$ government% in

which 8in *aden repeated the motives stated! ,n a video tape released in >00J% 8in *aden

stated that the idea of the 9/11 attacks came up to his mind for the first time in 19L>% after

he witnessed ,srael2s bombardment of buildings during the *ebanon war! &lso% he claimed

that the attacks were committed to restore the liberty of their nation and to punish the

oppressor C#!$ government and troopsD% stating at the same time that his principal

obective was to completely destroy and bankrupt the #!$ government!

(he events of this tragic day changed the whole world in so many ways! (he destruction

and sadness caused by the terrorist attacks affected millions of people specially #!$

citiens! (he principal effects caused by the 9/11 events were

economy! ,n ust one day #$& suffered M90%000 million worth damage J30%000

people were fired due to the terrorist attacks and ust in three months after 9/11

M>!L billion dollars in wages were lost! (he most affected economic sectors were

,nsurance% tourism% airlines% aviation and also security! (he attacks led the #!$ to

start wars against terrorism in the &rabic territory spending approximately M1!H

trillion until >011! (he beginning of these wars meant that fewer funds were

available for generating obs% which means less tax revenue this situation led the

#$& to an economic crisis that lasted for almost 10 years!

modified many factors in the population around the world! (hey state that the

anxiety and paranoia levels have increased in the population due to the fear of

possible terrorist attacks! &lso% many factors as church attendance and patriotism

suffered certain changes% which have been used as narrative or thematic elements in

different films% books and (5 shows!

that allowed the army to disrespect the civil rights of people in order to guarantee

the :$& to spy on people2s communications inside and outside the country in order

to protect the country from future terrorist attacks! $urveillance in the #$& has

been increased so much that some analysts state that the :$& might have a

mentioned that the 9/11 attacks produced more conseuences and changes all over the

tension among many countries all over the world and it could lead to a world war!

9/11 terrorist attacks were some of the most controversial events in the world% that is why

many conspiracy theories surround these events! 'ne of the most accepted by #!$ citiens

is the one called )*et it happen on purpose+ theory! (his theory states that the #nited

$tates government had foreknowledge of the events of that tragic day% but still the

government decided to ignore the warnings and weakened Con purposeD &merica2s

defenses so the hiacked planes could crash in the buildings without being intercepted by

the air force!

(he people that believe in this theory are called )truthers+ by most of the people that do

not believe in this theory! =any researchers have been made about this subect% which has

given the truthers strong arguments to claim that their theory is actually true! $cientific

research% reports and essays have been written by this group Cthe truthersD to refute and/or

complement the #!$ 7overnment2s 'fficial 6eport of the events but none of these reports

have been accepted and read alleging that the report is completed!

"ven though the truthers2 opposites claim most of their arguments are completely false%

most of them have been scientifically proven or some information has been confirmed by

real witnesses and even the #!$ government!

with strong arguments! ,t appeared because of the curiosity and the necessity of the #!$

population for answers% due to the fact that crucial information was not revealed Cand still

it has not been revealedD by the #!$ 7overnment! (his situation led the people to start

investigating for more information about the attacks so they could understand what really

happened on 9/11! (hese are some of the arguments that are commonly used by the truthers

to defend their theory

most complete in the world% but it mysteriously failed on 9/11! &ll the attacks could

not have been possible if the #!$ &ir ;efense system had not failed! ,f the control

towers lose contact with a plane% it will be intercepted in less than ten minutes! @et

on 9/11 the hiacked planes flew #!$ airspace without being intercepted for almost

30 minutes% even though the authorities knew that J planes had been hiacked! &ir

Borce pilots demanded to fly but they were ordered to stand down!

country is under attack any president2s main responsibility is to protect the lives of

the citiens apparently that was not the main responsibility of 7eorge ?! 8ush on

plane had crashed! &t 90H &=% &ndrew 4ard C#!$ 7overnment $ecretaryD

informed him that a second plane had crashed and that &merica was under attack!

&ny president would have ordered immediately to the #!$ =ilitary Borces to

defend the country but he preferred to keep reading the book and giving a speech

until 930! ,f the .resident had acted faster% many lives could have been saved! 7See

Airport !ec$rit" ignored pre arning!) 8oston2s *ogan &irport ignored the

warning from eyewitnesses that saw =ohamed &tta C9/11 hiackersD acting

suspiciously in the airport! 'ne of these witnesses% $tephen ?allace% reported to the

airport security that &tta was acting suspiciously! e stated that he saw some of the

hiackers taping many parts of the airport and its security system but the authorities

did nothing! &nother suspicious fact is that the hiackers2 carry-on bags% which

contained box-cutters and maces% got past metal detectors without being detected!

caused by burning et fuel does not reach the temperature needed to melt steel Csteel

weaken their structure in order to bring them down they hold this claim with the

amount of put options placed on &merican &irlines and #nited &irlines stock

increased significantly this made many unknown individuals richer! &lso% *arry

)property damage+ ust a few weeks before the attacks which made him win MJ!GG

billion after 9/11! &lso% the increases of mysterious put options placed by unknown

individuals suggest that the company owners and wealthy people had

missile because no wings and tail from the plane were found in the scene! & really

curious situation surrounds this crash 'n 9/10 the #!$ government announced

M>!3 trillion of the .entagon money could not be accounted for and ust a day after

the accounting office was hit in the attacks and the money disappeared!

The entagon cra!h tape!) (he .entagon is one of the most guarded building on

"arth! (here are more 44(5 cameras covering this building than any other

building% yet the government has decided to reveal ust a few videos Cblurry videosD

of the supposed plane crash! &lso% citiens that were videotaping near the .entagon

were tracked and their tapes were taken by the B8,! $everal groups of citiens have

reuested the #!$ government to release the tapes% which obviously contain the

truth of what happened in the .entagon% but they have denied this petition!

then it is completely impossible for the passports to remain intact after the attacks!

,f the passports were fake% then it is completely absurd that the B8, had used fake

happen so they could have vast control over the #!$ citiens! (hey support this idea with

the fact ust a few weeks after the 9/11events occurred the government wrote and approved

guarantee of the #nited $tates 4onstitution in order to protect the country against new

terrorist attacks this act technically gives the #!$ government total control over their

citiens!

8ut the most important reason why the government let the attacks happen% according to the
