Another dangerous substance that forms when tobacco is burned is CARBON MONOXIDE
Carbon monoxide is an odorless, tasteless, gas that interferes with the ability of blood to carry oxygen.

◦Examples: Chronic bronchitis Emphysema – a condition in which the
alveoli lose most of their ability to function. The lungs lose their ability to inflate and hold air. Cannot be cured

Sidestream smoke – smoke that enters the air from a burning cigarette, cigar, or pipe

You must present your PowerPoint/Prezi/Google slideshow to the class The presentation should last a minimum of 2 minutes and a maximum of 6
minutes. If you are not ready to present on your assigned day, you will have the
opportunity to present on Friday, Dec 12, but will lose 10 points YOU are responsible for making sure you are ready to present on the day
you sign-up for. Please read the following to make sure you avoid any potential technical difficulties:
1st problem: Students create & save computer work at home, and cannot open the work at school. 2nd problem: Students use email to send a document to themselves. Web-based email is locked by the district. Students are not able to access personal email during the day.
***It is HIGHLY recommended that you save your presentation to a FLASHDRIVE AND open it from Mrs. Dyke’s computer BEFORE the day you are scheduled to present to make sure that you have the right format of the program and that it opens and functions properly***
