As this is a celebration of many different cultures, we are looking for parents who would be willing to come to the school in the morning and share their "holiday traditions and stories" with the children. The children rotate throughout the morning to various activities. This would be one of their "stops" throughout the morning. If you can only come for a part of the morning, that is ok too! The more participants we have the more the children learn about various customs throughout our school community!! Please contact Stacy Palladino ([email protected] ) if you would like to participate or would like more information about your responsibilities for this activity! January Enrichment The next Enrichment session will be Fridays in January (1/6, 1/13, 1/20, 1/27), 2:45 to 3:45 PM. Classes are $15 each and you can choose either Let‟s Create or Wild Science. Mother/Son Bowling Please join us on Sunday January 22 nd from 4 to 6 PM at Boonton Lanes for Mother/Son Bowling! (An aunt, grandmother or other adult female is fine, too!) Log into MySchoolAnywhere at https://www.myschoolanywhere.com , and go to the Store link to register. Cost is $26 total for adult and child and includes pizza and soda. Deadline for signup is Friday December 30 th , so that we can reserve enough lanes. Tricky Tray Reminders Our Tricky Tray is March 9, 2017 at the Venetian in Garfield. More info about ticket sales to come! In the meantime, our planning committee is collecting awesome prizes and needs your help! As you are shopping for the holidays, or going through the holiday „stuff‟ we all collect, please consider donating items you cross across. In particular, we are collecting baskets, buckets, containers & frames, or any new, unopened item like a kitchen or household item, toy, etc. All donations are much appreciated! Own a business & want to donate?! Or, will your place of employment support us by making a basket, monetary or gift card donation? OneMontville Day of Respect and Community Service - Bring your family and join the community in OneMontville‟s Day of Respect and Community Service on Martin Luther King Day – January 16, 2017. The event will commence with a OneMontville Walk of Acceptance/Kindness/Respect from Town Hall to the Pine Brook Jewish Center. Assemble at 10:00 a.m. at Town Hall for the walk to begin at 10:15 a.m. Please walk with a non-perishable food item to donate to the Kiwanis Community Food Pantry. Several local houses of worship will then serve as sites for service projects and participants may visit several different locations between 11:30 a.m. and 2:00 p.m., with light refreshments provided at each location. Additional details to follow. Come show that this community is OneMontville, a community of acceptance, kindness and respect.

Family Book Club - The Family Book Club provides an opportunity for Cedar Hill families to add new books to our Media Center‟s collection. Please consider donating a book to ensure the continued availability of new books for our students. Parents’ Book Club - Thank you to those who were able to attend our first book club meeting! We had a wonderful discussion. While we had planned for our next book will be Positive Words, Powerful Results by Hal Urban, there have been many requests to continue our discussion of The Gift of Failure by Jessica Lahey. Thus on Thursday, January 26 at 8:15AM in the Cedar Hill Media Center we will be discussing Chapters 2, 3, & 4 of Lahey‟s book. Please join us! Kindly RSVP to [email protected]
