Can You Believe That!?!??! We want you to know that the Eagle Bucks program last year totaled

FIFTY THOUSAND DOLLARS!

Do you know that we only have about 100 families participating?!??! AND – we think most of them are alumni families now that started using their cards

when the Eagle Bucks program started.

CAN YOU IMAGINE IF WE ALL PARTICIPATED IN THE EAGLE BUCKS PROGRAM?!?!?!

Here’s the deal… There is a NEW program at Kroger. The old reloadable gift card program will terminate on 9/28/12. If you shop at KROGER – you likely have a Kroger Plus card on your keychain. If you will go to their website at Kroger.com, and create an account (it gives you the option to enter your existing Plus card number), you can then: Select “My Account” below “Welcome Back” once you have signed in. Select “Community Rewards” at the bottom of the list. Select “Edit Community Rewards Program Information”. Enter your contact information (if requested). Enter St. Benedict at Auburndale under “Find Your Organization”. Select the check box next to St. Benedict at Auburndale. Click SAVE CHANGES at the bottom. You can now see our school under your Community Rewards tab. Once you have completed this process, a portion of every shopping trip you make using your Kroger Plus card will now go to support St. Benedict High School. THANK YOU! You can do the same thing with your TARGET credit card. If you have a Target RedCard, you can designate St. Benedict at Auburndale as your school of choice for their “Take Charge of Education” program and the school will receive up to 1% of every purchase you make. You can do this on their website at Target.com. Our school number is 15968, or you can just search by our zip code 38016. You wouldn’t BELIEVE how this one adds up! Think of how much we all spend at Target! THANK YOU! We also have GIFT CARDS JUST LIKE THE ONES YOU WOULD BUY AT THE STORE. They are the same amounts and to all of the same stores. BUT – if you buy them from SBA, then the school gets a percentage of the card when they are used. Please go to www.sbaeagles.org/eaglebucks to see and order the different cards we offer and print out an order form if you are interested. We have one SBA family that owns a business and purchases hundreds of cards from the school for employee Christmas gifts and customer thank you gifts. What a great idea! THANK YOU! You obviously can see how it adds up. It added up to over $50,000 in one year! If you already take advantage of this way to help our school – THANK YOU, THANK YOU, THANK YOU! If you haven’t yet started use of this program, we would love for you to consider it.

It is a one-time extra step, but WOW does it help us out.

St. Francis Of Assisi Church FALL FEST VOLUNTEERS

NEEDED! Signups are now open to Volunteers ages 13 and Over!

Simply go to our website at www.sfafallfest.org and click on the

“Volunteers” link. COMPLETE and SUBMIT the Online

Registration form. It’s as simple as that!

Sign Up EARLY for the best shifts. Limited spaces available. All

volunteer shifts will be filled on a first come/first serve basis. For

more information, contact Tina Sosnowski at

[email protected].

A note from our Cafeteria Staff:

For all parents of students with peanut allergies, the staff would

like to make everyone aware that all SBA prepared food (grill

items, Menu of the day, etc) is done without using peanut oil.

They would also like to caution that the same cannot be guaranteed

with any pre-packaged or processed foods (like cookies, crackers,

snack bars, pies, etc), as most processors/manufacturers make

some products with nuts. Please make sure that your student keeps

these choices in mind when selecting items from the cafeteria.

HOME AND SCHOOL NEWS Greetings from Home and School! Hope the 2012-2013 school year has

started out well for each of you. We had a great turnout for the Freshman-

Sophomore tailgate. Special thanks to all who volunteered their time and

brought food to share. The weather cooperated and everyone enjoyed

connecting or re-connecting with friends.

A couple of items of note: We have two sign ups (see links below) for

Monthly Teacher Treats and for First Friday Adoration. The dates have all

been plugged in, we just need you to log on and volunteer for the dates when

you can send in treats for our teachers or when you can spend some time in

our chapel during First Friday Adoration. When you sign up, the site will

send you an automatic reminder about a week before you have volunteered.

This can be exported to your calendars in Outlook or iCal. If you are

volunteering for Monthly Teacher Treats, please place in the notes area what

you are volunteering to bring so we can make certain we have a variety of

items. Thank you for volunteering to help out and for the service to our

school, faculty and administration!

Click here to sign up to help with Monthly Teacher Treats Click here to sign up to help with First Friday Adoration

Our first Home and School meeting of the year will be Wednesday, Sept 12th

at 8:00. We hope as many of you who are interested in getting involved will

join us. We will do our best to complete the meeting within an hour so we

can get on with our work day.

Lastly, if you haven’t already joined our Home and School Association and

paid your dues, there is still time. You can print the form from the

sbaeagles.org website and send in with your student to the office. Remember

that we do not fundraise so our dues are the only way we have to help cover

the many events that Home and School sponsors.
