Principal’s Desk Last week’s grade 3/4 camp to Camp Clayton was an outstanding success. Every student, parent and teacher had a fantastic time and learnt many new things. Everything went very smoothly and all students represented the school ex-ceptionally well. A special thanks to Leah Blair and Mathew Coates for their invaluable assistance on camp. Make sure you come to this week’s assembly to see all the great pictures. The seven sheep that were advertised in last week’s newsletter have now been sold thanks to all those who made en-quiries. We heard this week that our grade 5/6 entry in the ‘Women in Agriculture Schools Connected to Farms’ art competition won first prize at this year’s Agfest. Well done to grade 5/6, the fertilizer we won will come in very handy. This Friday, subject to weather, will be round one of our Friday sport roster. Grade 5/6 will be travelling to Meander Primary to participate in games of Netball and Football. Meander is offering a BBQ to all students. If you would like to order, please fill in the order form and return to the office tomorrow. Next Thursday, 31
st May, we will be having two big events; our Grandparent Appreciation Day and our Winter Music
Concert. Between recess and lunch will be our music concert filled with many great acts. Parents, and especially Grandparents, are then invited to stay on after the concert for lunch and then to go into their child’s/grandchild’s class and see the work they are doing, participate with activities and listen to them read. Could every family please bring a plate of food to share on this day. A reminder that the next round of grade 6 immunisations is on this Thursday, if you have any queries regarding this
please contact the office.

GRANDPARENT APPRECIATION DAY
All grandparents of children at Mole Creek Primary School are invited to join us in celebrating the importance of Grandparents.
A Winter Music Concert will be held from 11.15am, showcasing our talented musicians
followed by a Grandparents Luncheon. During the afternoon, grandparents will be invited to share in activities and book reading in their grandchild’s class.
Parents are also most welcome to attend and it would be appreciated if parents could provide a plate of luncheon to share.
No need to RSVP, just turn up on the day.

School Fun-Run News
On 8th May, our students put on their running shoes to participate in the
adidas School Fun-Run. The students put in a fantastic effort to raise over
$1000 to go towards school camps and classroom materials.
A special mention goes to Rose Pennell for putting in a tremendous effort
by raising the highest amount of money and to Kinder / Prep who were
the highest fundraising class.
I would like to thank everyone who supported this fundraising event to
make it such a huge success!
All participants enjoyed a refreshment to help them cool down after the
run and will receive a participation certificate. All students who raised
over $10 will soon be rewarded for their hard work with their selected
prize.
To top it off, all students raising $10 or more can now enter the draw to
win a family holiday to Disneyland! To enter, log on to
www.schoolfunrun.com.au/disneyland.
We would like to thank all the teachers, parents and students along with
adidas and CUA who were all involved in making the adidas School Fun-
Run such a huge success and a big thank you to all the sponsors who sup-
ported our little athletes
