MIS Academy is the proud organizer of ENDO Dubai 2018. MIS Academy is dedicated to excellence in gynecological surgery, offering high-quality hands-on training and leading scientific events on minimally invasive surgery in Dubai. Created by Pr Arnaud Wattiez, a pioneer of laparoscopy in the OB-GYN realm, MIS Academy brings together world-renowned experts and medical authorities to help gynecologic surgeons continuously improve their surgical practice.

MIS Academy is the first of its kind professional training centre in minimally invasive gynecological surgery in the United Arab Emirates. The courses are designed to help professionals develop their surgical skills and stay ahead of the curve. Each course explores the specifics of a procedure or theme, through a two-day workshop combining theory and practical training.

Courses are based on the European Academy of Gynecological Surgery standards. Successful completion is recognized by a Bachelor in Endoscopy, Minimal Invasive Gynecological Surgeon (MIGS) or Master Level diploma depending on prior experience.

With year-round sunshine, intriguing deserts, beautiful beaches, luxurious hotels and shopping malls, fascinating heritage attractions and a thriving business community, Dubai receives millions of leisure and business visitors each year from around the world. These visitors can benefit from a range of services and a local infrastructure that help make any trip to Dubai smooth and hassle-free.

Dubai has a warm, sunny climate that is ideal for tourism, with mild temperatures for most of the year and a low rainfall. Summer temperatures in July and August can reach highs of around 45ºC (113ºF) with high humidity, making this the least comfortable time of year to visit in terms of climate.

English is widely spoken in Dubai, and as all restaurant menus, road signs and other information is usually presented in both English and Arabic. The local currency is the dirham – AED.

Mohammed Bin Rashid University of Medicine and Health Sciences (MBRU) was named after His Highness Sheikh Mohammed Bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai. At MBRU, the aim is to be a leading medical and health sciences university, and that is why the university was established on an integrated platform that supports healthcare education, research, and early clinical practice for students and faculty.

The mission of the university is to advance health in the UAE and the region through an innovative and integrated academic health system, that is nationally responsive and globally connected, serving individuals and communities.

As of 2017, the UN estimated the country's total population was 9,400,145; immigrants make up more than 88% of the total population (Indian 38.2%, Bangladeshi 9.5%, Pakistani 9.4%, Egyptian 10.2%, Philippine 6.1%, other 15%).

The population is heavily concentrated to the northeast on the Musandam Peninsula; the three largest emirates - Abu Dhabi, Dubai, and Sharjah - are home to nearly 85% of the population.

The UAE will host the Expo 2020 in Dubai on the theme “Connecting Minds, Creating the Future” beginning October 20, 2020. The Expo is projected to attract 25 million visitors, with 70 per cent expected to come from outside the UAE — the largest proportion of international visitors in the 166-year history of World Expos.

More than 200 participants, including countries, companies, NGOs and educational institutions, are also expected to participate.

With its full-throttle development, iconic skylines of high-rises, and world-famous beach resorts, the UAE has become a favourite for family holidays and city breaks. Landmark tourist attractions such as Dubai's towering Burj Khalifa, Abu Dhabi's modern Sheikh Zayed Mosque, have branded the UAE as an up-to-the-minute luxury destination.

In 1971, six states - Abu Dhabi, Ajman, Al Fujairah, Sharjah, Dubai, and Umm al Quwain - merged to form the United Arab Emirates (UAE). They were joined in 1972 by Ras al Khaymah.

The capital of the UAE is Abu Dhabi. Its flag is three equal horizontal bands of green (top), white, and black with a wider vertical red band on the hoist side. The flag incorporates all four Pan-Arab colors, which in this case represent fertility (green), neutrality (white), petroleum resources (black), and unity (red); red was the traditional color incorporated into all flags of the emirates before their unification.

The name of the UAE, coming from "Arabia", can be traced back many centuries B.C., the ancient Egyptians referred to the region as "Ar Rabi"; "emirates" derives from "amir" the Arabic word for "commander," "lord," or "prince".

The President is HH KHALIFA bin Zayid Al-Nuhayyan (since 3 November 2004), ruler of Abu Dhabi. The Vice President and Prime Minister is HH MUHAMMAD BIN RASHID Al-Maktoum (since 5 January 2006), ruler of Dubai.

Since the discovery of oil in the UAE nearly 60 years ago, the country has undergone a profound transformation from small desert principalities to a modern state with a high standard of living.
