SUMMIT PARTNERS:
Modern Day Slavery is one of the foremost issues within supply chain management. The Global Slavery Index estimates there are 46m victims in forced labour worldwide. International corporations are working to provide customers and stakeholders with supply chain transparency. At the same time, most companies can not see beyond the 2nd or 3rd tiers of their supply chain. The issue is also gaining serious political momentum, with Theresa May, the British Prime Minister, recently creating the world’s first government-wide Anti-Slavery Task Force. It is a call for business to engage. The risk of ignorance is high and crisis management is expensive.
The Global Modern Day Slavery & Supply Chain Summit 2017 will provide a sufficiently distinctive, collaborative and solutions’ packed agenda for senior Government and policy representatives, international experts, business leaders and industry stakeholders. The Event will focus on steps leading to greater visibility and transparency in supply chains, due diligence and risk assessment processes, on incorporating modern slavery firmly in the sustainability and human rights’ strategy at the senior corporate level.
The Summit promises to be the most comprehensive international event, building on the momentum in the industry, showcasing real experience and examples, leading to further responsible business actions.
