What is MOCCA?

MOCCA is a fully integrated, networkable CASH / Cashless Point of Sale / Canteen Point of Sale Management System designed to simplify and enhance canteen management.

MOCCA can integrate with existing access control card-based systems, utilising existing employee access cards that are linked to valid employee accounts, and it offers a reliable method of payment while the resulting cashless Point of Sale environment ensures increased security.

What does MOCCA do?

• CASH• Debit – deposit own cash into account, any time

during the month – any amount. Buy on account• Credit – buy on “overdraft” – deduct from salary at

end of month – limits can be added!• Immediate Settlement – pay cash – but link to

customer profile.

OK – so what is MOCCA?

It consists of a couple of “modules” or “exe’s” that can be installed on different machines to perform different tasks for the relevant operators. No extra modules – just what you need.

• Because its modular – you can choose how many modules you need to install.

• The minimum bundled install will contain:– 1 Database– 1 Admin, Report and Till module

Scanners• In order to ensure that we always have a unique customer

ID linked to the financial customer accounts – we prefer to make use of existing Access Control Systems – for example Proximity Card Readers and FingerPrint Scanners.

• The GUID is used as the Customer “Account number”• The Reader relays this to the database when card is

scanned at the Till and automatically verifies the customer and account status.

No matter what type of Card Reader / Finger Print Reader you have installed – we can interface to it & use it to authenticate the customer.

• Optional mini-ATM that allows customers to deposit their own money into a Debit Account

• Note Acceptor verifies and authenticates the notes• Deposit slip is printed and new balance is

displayed on screen. Balance is available immediately at any tillpoint linked to the database

• The unit is secure, safe and tamper-proof!

Other Software

• Microsoft SQL Express can be installed for free on smaller sites with smaller databases

• For larger sites – the database can be hosted on a separate Server that has Microsoft SQL 2005 and higher installed

• Microsoft Office recommended to fully utilize the powerful Reporting capabilities.

• Customer lists can be imported from existing Time & Attendance or Payroll systems

• Month End data can be exported to Most Payroll system for easy salary deductions.

Simulated Process Flow – Debit Account

Customer/Employee Profile is created

Create Debit Account. R200 deposited manually / via cashloader

Employee now has R200 to spend during the month

Employee purchases a lunch, valued at R10 from canteen:

1.Swipe the card

2.Debit Balance will be displayed on screen

3.Operator selects the food item and ends the transaction

4.Purchase amount will be deducted off his debit account automatically

5.Till slip will print to validate purchase

6.Customer will now have an updated balance of R190 to spend on his/her debit account

Customer can now continue purchasing until this balance is depleted – or can deposit more funds

Simulated Process Flow – Credit Account

Customer/Employee Profile is created

Account default is set to R200 pm

Employee now has R200 to spend during the month (as “overdraft”)

Employee purchases a lunch, valued at R10 from canteen:

1.Swipe the card

2.Balance will be displayed on screen

3.Operator selects the food item and ends the transaction

4.Purchase amount will be deducted off his credit account automatically

5.Till slip will print to validate purchase

6.Customer will now have a running balance of R10 and an Available balance of R190

Month End is run at the end of every month to “clear” the balances and to submit the running balances to the payroll department.

The employee will have the original R200 to spend for the next month

the customer account immediately after the notes are verified• Items loaded or updated reflects on the Till Modules immediately• A very comprehensive reporting module is available with over 37 standard reports!• All transactions is date & time stamped in the database for full audit control• Only the Administrator of the canteen has access to the accounts of employees, so all

records are kept confidential from other employees.• When an employee resigns, the account will be disabled so no other person can purchase

on his/her account. • When a card is lost/stolen, it must be reported to the administrator immediately. The

Administrator will disable the card, and can also display a report to investigate if any purchases were made with the stolen card.

• The largest servicing 18 000 customers, in 14 canteens with more than 150 tillpoints – running off a single server.

• The smallest site is one till, with all modules and database bundled – servicing 40 customers
