► multiplatform open source modules based and applications specifically developed, to avoid software license costs and to assure application usage on every type of devices
► cloud computing approach and modular Web
Application assuring flexibility and scalability; can be tailored according to specific needs of every school; multitenancy can reduce, up to zero, impacts on school data center
► Single-Sign-On and profiling system strengthen the security policy guaranteed by the certifications achieved by Nuvola Italiana and offer flexibility in platform management
► supporting different types of educational contents from self-produced, to web available, to contents acquired from school publishers

What can teachers do with educ@TIon?
► Promote collaborative learning (guided building of multimedial learning materials, social reading, …)
► Facilitate communication and information/knowledge sharing between teachers and students, teachers and teachers, students and students (iManager, learning community, iViewer, iLibrary, …)
► Include remote students in schools and in the teaching experience of the class

► eSchooling: support the development of competences to build European citizens and innovatively integrate tools and technologies (including the "social" ones)
► SIM for education: define special rates for teachers’/students’ connection and for the consuming of multimedia learning materials
► Integrate mobile teaching and learning solutions: act as a unique partner towards schools to connect and coordinate all mobile learning players (content providers, training providers, school publishers, families, software providers, hardware providers, …)
