student ministries Our Middle School and High School Ministries had a

very successful kick off this week! Middle School meets in the upper gym every Tuesday from 6:30 –

8:00 p.m. High School has their first small group this Tuesday, September 24th 6:00 – 8:00 p.m. at the

Heath’s home and their large group is every Saturday from 7:30 – 9:30 p.m. in the Upper Gym. Middle School

and High School Fall Calendars are now live on the church website!

Small Groups - Our small group season has officially begun

and there are open groups most days of the week who

want to welcome you! You can join a group by filling out the

Connection Card at the Small Groups table in the Gathering Area, or by visiting lc3.com/ministries/small-groups. Group

study guides and personal journals are available for $5 each. FPU - Do you want to learn step by step how to handle

money using biblical wisdom and common sense? If so, we

encourage you to sign up for FPU at LC3, starting this Monday, Sept. 23rd at 6:30 p.m. in the lower gym. For more

Faith@Home Center - Our F@H Resource Center is in need of new hosts!

Someone who is willing to come just a few minutes before the service they are

attending and stay a few minutes afterwards to help people find some amazing

resources! If you are interested, or have any other questions please email

[email protected]!

First Steps Class - Our next Parent Commitment and

Child Dedication will be October 19th and 20th. If you

would like to participate, there is a required First Steps

class on Wed. Oct. 2nd from 6:30 - 8:00 p.m. in the

Conference Room. Contact [email protected] with

any questions, comments, concerns or to RSVP!

Special Offering - Hurricane Dorian Relief Offering - We are receiving a

special offering this weekend, Sept. 21/22, to help with relief and ministry to

those living in the Bahamas. We will send the funds received to Samaritan’s

Purse so it is given in the name of Jesus. Please use the offering envelopes and write Hurricane Dorian in the subject line if you would like to take part in

this offering. You can also go on the Samaritan’s Purse website to learn more

about it.

MOPS - Join us for coffee and brunch, get to know some other moms, and be encouraged by speakers and discussions.

Meetings take place every 2nd and 4th Tuesday of the month, from 9:15-11:30 a.m. in the Gym. Childcare classrooms open at 9:15. Check out the LC3 MOPS

Making Life Disciples - The Making Life Disciples course

begins on Sept. 29 from 10:45 a.m. - 12:15 p.m.

Participants will explore the topic of abortion and learn

how to be a voice for life. Mark your communication card

today if you are interested in learning more.

40 Days for Life - This fall, you and your friends or small group can make a

stand for life and truth by joining a prayer shift during the Tacoma 40 Days

for Life fall campaign. Trained volunteers lead prayers shifts 8 AM to 4 PM

daily 09/25 through 11/03 in front of Cedar River (abortion) Clinic at 1401

Martin Luther King Jr. Way. Stop by the information table today or mark your

communication card for more info.

Harvest Carnival - Save the Date! We will welcome back LC3’s Harvest Carnival on Thursday, Oct. 31 from 6:00 - 8:00

p.m. Sign ups for help and a candy collection barrel begin

next week in the Gathering Area. We have a Ministry Leader for this outreach event and we would like to add about 4

others to her leadership team. If you are interested in serving

on the leadership team, please contact [email protected].

W2Connect - All ladies are invited to an informational

meeting to learn more about our mentoring ministry here at

Lake City called W2Connect. The meeting will take place next

Sunday, Sept. 29 at 11:00 a.m. in the upper gym.

Ladies, women’s ministries is so excited to invite you to our Fall Evening Manna on Friday, Sept. 27 at 6:30 p.m. in the

Children's Lobby! We're having a bunco tournament with

great prizes and offering a caramel apple nacho bar. This is a great event to invite a friend, and also try something new

yourself. If you have questions or need childcare, please

Perspectives - Save the date, the the Tacoma Perspectives class starts January 7, 2020.at Sunset Bible Church in University Place

on Tuesday nights, from 6:00 - 9:00 p.m. For more information,

Pathways Teams - Join us for the Pathways Teams Brunch &

Training on Sat., Sept. 28 from 10:00 a.m. - 12:30 p.m. in the

Gym. This training event is for our Security, Greeters,

Ushers, and Welcome & Resource Center Teams. For
