Satellite workshop site

St. Vincent Children’s Medical Mission

is a boarding school for 24 severely handicapped children without any family. Its OT workshop was completely destroyed by the earthquake. We and our partners are building a satellite workshop that we will hand over to St. Vincent as soon as it's opened in 2013. The plan is to guarantee aftercare for our patients from Port-au-Prince without them having to take the arduous journey to Deschapelles.

Construction progress of the satellite workshop Port-au-Prince The rubble has gone, the old workshop building has been stabilised. The extension for physiotherapy is still at the carcassing stage.

Construction progress of the satellite workshop Port-au-Prince All the walls on the ground floor have already been plastered. This is where we're building the entrance and reception, 3 fitting rooms, a waiting room, a bathroom/toilet, a common room and a seminar room. The first storey will accommodate the stores, an office, the workshop and the plaster room, a machine room, and the resin cast room.
