Wicksteed Leisure Ltd 24.10.2011 – 11.2014

Full Time Paid Work

I worked as a graphic designer/ artist, I created playground layouts and presentation visuals to client

design briefs using AutoCAD, 3DS Max and CS6 Photoshop for tenders and public consultations

within the playground industry complying with European EN1176 health and safety standards. I was

responsible for boxing and posting the drawings in order to reach deadlines; organising re-prints and

installation plans for contractors and customers; keeping stock and ordering office stationary and

managing my time in order to complete tasks in the programmed schedule. Out of the office I was

involved in site visits; helping to measure and survey the site for larger tenders and creating stronger

relationships with the customer. I have also helped at exhibitions such as Playfair and SALTEX as a

design representative and catering team member.

Soft Furnishing Alterations

Ad- Hoc Private Paid Work

I carry out odd jobs for family and friends as part of a hobby, creating new, altering or refreshing

existing soft furnishing such as curtains and general sewing jobs e.g. upholstery.

Dunelm Mill 08.04.2010 – 19.06.2011

I worked as a sales assistant on the Window Treatment department. This included helping and

advising customers with readymade and custom made curtains, cutting fabric lengths and general

housekeeping.

Part Time Paid Work

I worked as part of the housekeeping team. My responsibilities included: cleaning rooms to a brand

Au Pair Summer 2009/2010/2011

Paid

I live with a Swindon family whilst looking after their child for a period of 2 weeks during the

summer. This involves me being solely responsible for the child, organising games and activities to

keep her occupied and fed whilst her parents are at work.

Draftswoman (One Off)

House plans for a conservatory extension for a family friend using AutoCAD. These plans have passed

and the project has been completed.

Babysitter

I baby sat/ child minded for a number of parents on a weekly basis before moving to university and

occasionally still do if I am available.

I worked as a sales assistant. My responsibilities included: serving customers, working as part of a

team, handling money, using a telephone, general housekeeping and merchandising.

Voluntary Work:

� I designed and decorated the sixth form common room over a summer holiday, working

closely with the students and the head teacher.

� I was a scout leader assistant with the 1st

Isham and Orlingbury Scout Group, working with

children aged 5 – 14.

� Whilst I was at university I took on the role of student representative for my course and

offered help and advice to lower year students on the course.

� I have appeared as Co- presenter on Bolton FM radio station.

� I have helped out at a church holiday club.

� I have helped with afternoon activities within the local school.

� I volunteered at SPX processing equipment. I helped out with design and admin work. This

enabled me to use my skills in AutoCAD whilst gaining experience.

� I have advised family and friends on interior projects within their homes. E.g. Currently my

parents are extending our family home to incorporate an Annex, I have helped with the

layout of this design.

Interests:

I have a great enthusiasm and passion for design and I’m always looking at the latest journals and

magazines, watching television programmes and browsing through home furniture stores gaining

knowledge of the latest trends. I have a keen interest in arts and crafts and I am constantly involved

in hobbies such as card making, textile art and soft furnishing alterations creating new and unique

products. I am a sociable person and love meeting new people through networking commercially or

domestically. I also believe that personal health is important, helping to keep the mind in focus and

enabling me to achieve my goals.

Key Skills:

I am confident in using all Microsoft Office Software, AutoCAD, 3DS Max and Photoshop. I have had

in house training sessions on 3DS Max, Photoshop and AutoCAD through Wicksteed. I have a clean

driving license and my own transport. I have a good 3D modelling skill and I am very creative, a bit of

a perfectionist and extremely organised in everything that I do.
