At the local pet store stands a Christmas tree; instead of ornaments, it holds wishes from those in need. A young boy named Danny wishes for a coat for his mother, a sweater for his dachshund, and for the safe return of his missing father... a man just arrested for murder. Lori Carpenter wants to see Danny’s wish come true. She and her lawyer husband, Andy, must prove Danny's father innocent in a 14-year-old cold case to which he’s been connected through DNA... Dachshund… can be enjoyed alone or as part of a series (#20). Highly recommended to those who enjoy cozy mysteries along with other books by David Rosenfelt.

A lot has changed this year,
but not the spirit of giving!
Although Food for Fines has been post-
poned, the library
still wants to help the
Idaho Foodbank this
season.
Throughout Decem-
ber, we’re taking
cash or check
donations.
If you donate, we’ll
display a snowflake
with your name on
the “cloud” wall near
the Circulation Desk!
Please make checks
payable to The Idaho
Foodbank.
