My body is my Personal Geography. Being in a state of constant change, it is never enough explored. Thus, the personal investigation of the

corporality becomes a permanent germination of ideas, the origin of the obsession to render the fragment as an embodiment of the whole. This

undertaking is meant to determine the viewer’s involvement in the imaginary, and to make him relate with a particular brushwork space, as well.

Impossible to be reduced to its apparent surface, the human body is tightly linked to social and psychological acts passed through a personal

filter. It represents the plurality of the connections I have with the physical universe. By means of its immediate presence, the body in my paintings

evolves to become an axis and a figurative landmark. It is my way to reinstate the precedence of the state of mind over the image, through the

diffusion of my intimate space towards the exterior world. I’m building a mechanical link in motion, between the blanketed touch of the brush and

the concept of the body materialization.

Almost iconic motifs, The Fragment and The Body are, as a whole, a starting point for the viewer to build his own universe.

Mon corps est ma Géographie Personnelle. Jamais suffisamment exploré, il se transforme sans cesse. Ainsi, l’investigation personnelle de la

corporalité devient une permanente germination d’idées, elle persiste d’une manière obsessive à rendre le fragment en tant que représentation

de l’ensemble. Par cette démarche, je cherche à impliquer le spectateur dans la zone de l’imaginaire, le déterminer à interagir avec ma touche

spécifique.

Ne pouvant pas être réduit a une surface apparente, le corps humain este étroitement lié aux processus sociaux et psychologiques transfigurés

par un filtre personnel. Il représente la pluralité des rapports que j’ai avec l’univers physique. Dans ma peinture, par l’entremise de sa présence

immédiate, le corps évolue pour devenir axis et repère figuratif. C’est ma façon de retrouver la priorité de l’état d’esprit au détriment de l’image par

la diffusion de l’espace intime vers l’extérieur. Je compose un lien mécanique en mouvement, entre la touche voilée et le concept de

matérialisation du corps.

Motifs presque iconiques, Le Fragment et Le Corps constituent, ensemble, le point de départ autour duquel le spectateur peut se construire un

univers à soi.

Mein Körper ist meine eigene Geographie. Er verändert er sich ständig, nie genügend erforscht. Die persönliche Untersuchung der Körperlichkeit ist

eine ständige Keimung der Ideen und auch die Herkunft des intensiven Wunsches für die Wiedergabe des Bruchstückes, als eine Darstellung des

Ganzen. Durch dieses Unternehmen will ich den Zuschauer in der Zone der Fantasie hineinziehen, seine Interaktion mit meinem persönlichen

Pinselstrich verursachen.

Unmöglich zu einer scheinbaren Oberfläche herabgesetzt zu werden, ist der menschliche Körper eng mit den psychologischen und sozialen Prozessen

verbunden und durch die eigene Perspektive verklärt. Er stellt die Mehrheit der Beziehungen, die ich mit dem physischen Universum habe, dar. In

meiner Malerei wird der Körper, dank seiner unmittelbaren Anwesenheit, Axis und bildliche Marke. So schaffe ich es zu einer Überlegenheit der

Geistesverfassung über dem Bild zurückzukehren, indem ich den intimen Raum ins Äußere ausstrahle. Ich baue eine Verknüpfung zwischen dem

abgeschirmten Pinselstrich und dem Begriff der Verkörperung.

Fast ikonische Motive, das Bruchstück und das Ganze, sind, zusammengenommen, der Ausgangpunkt um dem sich der Zuschauer sein eigenes

Universum bauen kann.

his project brings together, from a technical standpoint, gesturalism, decoupage, graphical sign

and engraving, by means of the collage, a minimalist colouring and a tempered brushwork.

The central point though, which is also the starting point, is the engraving. Conceived as a

fragment – future element of the collage – as well as a standalone piece of work, the engraving

becomes part of a new construct.

Only that, unlike in my photorealism, where the fragment is leading the viewer to see the whole

that is missing, here the fragment lets the viewer free to build his own universe. It is a return to the

inner world of one’s imagination, as well as an opportunity to emphasize the detail which is

conceived to be as interesting as the assembly, in an attempt to approach each work in a

quasi-holographic way.

D’un point de vue technique, ce projet met ensemble, grâce au collage, la peinture gestuelle,

le découpage, le signe graphique et la gravure, liés par un chromatisme minimal et une touche

retenue.

Mais le point central, qui est dans le même temps point de départ, est la gravure. Conçue dès le

celle-ci devient part d’un nouveau construct.

Mais, à la différence de mon photoréalisme, où le fragment guide le spectateur à voir l’entier

manquant, ici le fragment permet au spectateur de construire son propre univers. C’est un retour

vers le monde intérieur de sa propre imagination, mais aussi une occasion de mettre en évidence

le détail, conçu pour être aussi intéressant que l’ensemble, dans une tentative d’aborder d’une

manière quasi-holographique chaque ouvrage.

CollageAus einem technischen Standpunkt bringt das Projekt, mittels der Collage, einer minimalisti-

schen Färbung und einem gemäßigten Pinselstrich, Geste Malerei, Schnitt, grafisches Zeichen

und Stich zusammen.

Doch der Mittelpunkt, gleichzeitig auch Ausgangspunkt, ist der Stich. Vom Anfang an als ein

Bruchstück – künftige Grundeinheit der Collage – sowie als ein selbständiges Arbeitsstück

gedacht, wird dieser, Bestandteil des neuen Konstrukts.

Doch im Unterschied zu der fotorealistischen Malerei, wo das Bruchstück den Zuschauer, das

fehlende Ganze zu sehen, leitet, erlaubt hier das Bruchstück dem Zuschauer sich sein eigenes

Universum zu bauen. Es handelt sich sowohl um einen Rücksprung in die innere Welt der

persönlichen Vorstellung, als auch um eine Gelegenheit die Einzelheit zu betonen, welche

gedacht ist, genauso interessant als das Ganze zu sein, in einem Versuch jedes Werk in einer

quasi-holographischen Weise in Angriff zu nehmen.

e are bombarded, day after day, by millions of brochures, flyers, posters, and all sorts of other prints, a planetary orgy of short-lived promotional

messages on paper. Finding themselves in a frantic competition to convince the Consumer King, only a tiny fraction fulfils its vocation, whereas

the fate of the remaining millions is to become a huge pile of garbage, a waste of almost unimaginable proportions. One can find them stacked

on counters or on stands, announcing events that already took place, or products and services of no interest, or special offers and promotion

barren of their meaning by the passage of time.

My project, Squanderers and squandered objects, is an attempt to provide a meaning to all these prints that are devoided of any sense, once the

message they bear has been buried by the cacophony of millions and millions of new messages.

My interventions upon these lifeless materials are reflections of my artistic vision adapted to ready-made surfaces, and interferences with their

brought to light plasticity, sole quality of this otherwise amorphous mass.

Nous sommes bombardés, jour après jour, par des millions de brochures, flyers, affiches et toutes sortes d’autres impressions, une orgie

planétaire d’éphémères messages publicitaires sur papier. Se trouvant dans une compétition frénétique pour convaincre le Roi Consommateur,

seulement une infime fraction remplit son but, pendant que le sort des autres millions est de devenir un tas d’ordures, un gaspillage de proportions

incroyables. On peut les trouver sur les comptoirs ou sur les étalages, soit annonçant des événements qui ont déjà eu lieu, soit des produits ou

des services qui n’intéressent personne, soit des offres ou des promotions que le temps qui passe les a dénuées de signification.

Mon projet, Gaspilleurs et objets gaspillés, est une tentative de trouver par l’intermède de la peinture et du collage une raison d’être à ces objets

complètement vidés de sens, une fois que le message qu’ils portaient a été enterré dans la cacophonie des autres millions et millions de

nouveaux messages.

Mes interventions sur ces matériaux morts sont des réflexions de ma vision artistique adaptée à des surfaces tout préparées et en même temps

des interférences avec leur plasticité dévoilée, la seule qualité de cette masse d’ailleurs amorphe.

Werbebotschaften auf Papier, bombardiert. Diese befinden sich in einen hektischen Konkurrenzkampf um den Konsumenten-König zu überzeugen. Nur

eine kleine Minderheit vollzieht ihre Aufgabe, während das Schicksal der bleibenden Millionen ist, eine enorme Menge von Müll, ein Abfall von fast

unglaublichen Ausmaßen, zu werden. Man kann sie gestapelt auf Schaltern und Ständen finden, Veranstaltungen ankündigen die schon stattgefunden

haben, Produkte und Kundenservices bewerben an denen niemand interessiert war, oder Sonderangebote und Promotionen bekannt zu machen, die

nicht mehr, wegen dem Zeitabstand, gültig sind.

Mein Projekt, Verschwender und verschwendete Objekte, ist ein Versuch allen diesen Abdrucken die von jeder Bedeutung entleert sind, einen Sinn zu

finden, nachdem ihre Botschaft, von einer Kakophonie, der anderen Millionen neuen Botschaften, begraben wurde.

Meine Eingriffe auf diese leblosen Materialien sind Reflexionen meiner artistischen Visionen, angepasst an gebrauchsfertigen Oberflächen, sowie

Interferenzen mit ihrer entblößten Plastizität, die einzige Güte dieser ansonsten amorphen Masse.

Departing the abstract, I am heading for a different kind of writing. Conceptually, it is the

interference of the figurative with the abstract, reflection of the coexistence at the narrative level

of my own mythologies with the oneiric. From a different angle, it is gesturalism followed by the

dynamics of overlaying substratum upon substratum, expression of the personal decomposition

and recomposition. The language that I am advancing is the result of interlacing concepts and

techniques in succession.

En quittant l’abstract, je me dirige vers une autre écriture. Conceptuellement c’est l’interférence

du figuratif avec l’abstract, reflet de la coexistence au niveau narratif des mythologies

personnelles avec l’onirique. En regardant d’un autre angle, c’est de la peinture gestuelle suivi

d’une dynamique de la superposition des substrats, expression de la décomposition et de la

recomposition intérieure. Le langage que je propose est le résultat d’un entrelacement des

concepts et des techniques en succession.

on dem Abstrakten hinausgehend, lenke ich zu einer anderen Ausdrucksart. Begrifflich, handelt

es sich um die Interferenz des Bildlichen mit dem Abstrakten, die Spiegelung, auf einem schil-

dernden Niveau, der eigenen Mythologien mit dem Traum. Von einem anderen Blickwinkel ist es

Geste Malerei, gefolgt von einer Dynamik der Überlagerung von Substraten, Ausdruck des persön-

lichen Abbaus und Wiederaufbaus. Die Sprache die ich vorschlage ist das Ergebnis der Verflech-

tung von aufeinanderfolgenden Konzepten und Techniken.
