1) Andhra Pradesh enjoy almost
300+ sunny days in an year with
long sun shine hours.
2) Implementation of single axis
tracking system will incorporate
moving parts into the system,
which has its own advantages and
dis-advantages.
3) We request that project should
be independent of tracking system
installation as the same will add on
to project cost and at the same
time will also increase O&M
expenses.
4) The implementation of tracking
system can be left to the sole
discretion of project Developer.
10 General We would like to again stress the
importance of installing 10 MW
solar plant with single axis trackers
as mentioned in the TTD tender
documents. The Solar plant with
single axis trackers can
significantly reduce the cost of
power generated vis a vis of the
power generated from fixed tilt
solar plants. Hence it will be
beneficial for TTD in the long run
especially after the completion of
the BOOT period. Hence TTD
should insist on the construction of
a solar plant with single axis
trackers only as specificed on the
original tender documents.

4) We strongly believe, extending
the project term by 25 years will
bring a win-win situation to both

will pay less tariff and the
developer will have depreciation
benefit over the useful life of the
project.
35 3 5 Transfer after Lease period: After

36 3 8 On completion of the 10th year from
the date of commissioning of the
project, the operating agency shall
transfer the entire plant and
machinery in good operating condition
to TTD at a price of Rs.1.00 lakh per
MW installed capacity of the project
and after such transfer, the operating
agency could carry on operation and

as desired by the TTD at mutually
agreed rates between the TTD and
the operating agency. However, TTD
will have every right to entrust the
operation and maintenance work to
any other agency other than the
operating agency.
Terminal value of the asset is not
in line with the realizable value of
the asset since the life of a solar
plant is considered to be 30 years.
With an assumed cost of Rs.7
Cr./MW, the realizable value of a
solar plant will be around 4.5Cr.
On straight line basis. Hence, we
would incr a significant loss of INR
4.5Cr. on sale of the asset.

will be on proportionate basis

It is the responsibility of agency to
identify suitable interconnection point

1) Construction of dedicated
transmission lines for solar
projects by the developers would
only lead to redundancy in the
system. This is because each
project developer would build a
separate transmission line and
occupy a separate bay in the Grid
sub-station. Since solar power is
generated and transmitted only
during the day, the utilization factor
of these transmission lines is also
very less -20% or so equal to the
utilization factor of the solar
project. Thus construction of
dedicated transmission lines would
only increase the stress on land
acquisition, right of way issues
etc., We strongly suggest that the
scope of developing transmission
lines and augmentation of
transmission infrastructure should
be in the scope of procures who
can rationalize the transmission
capacity addition by clubbing
various projects together and also
allowing existing lines for future
projects.
