Minnamurra is proud to have won the Beef Spectacular Carcase award for three years running, a testament to the quality of our cattle, and so proving to the industry that there is more to this breed than their distinctive colour. Minnamurra is committed to continuing to promote the breed through carcase trials and by supplying consistently good lines of first cross cattle to feedlots and abattoirs along the east coast.

We have continued to source the top genetics from Canada, and this sale offers for the first time bulls by Royal Flesh, the stand out bull at Agribition this year, and first cross heifers by So Long George. SELLING SYSTEM AND BUYER’S REGISTRATIONAll lots will be sold subject to the usual terms and conditions governing auction sales. Intending purchasers should obtain a Buyer’s Number and registration slip available from the selling agents prior to the sale.

THE MINNAMURRA GUARANTEEAny Minnamurra Speckle Park bull that proves to be structurally unsound, infertile or incapable of service is guaranteed for up to 6 months from date of sale.

Under these circumstances Minnamurra will replace the bull with a satisfactory substitute if available or issue a refund equal to the purchase price, less the salvage value.

The guarantee covers the purchase value of the bull, without interest, cost and damages. The guarantee shall apply providing the bull’s incapacity is not caused by injury or disease contracted since leaving the sale. A veterinary certificate must be supplied by the purchaser on request.

If any bull that is purchased does not possess a reasonable fertility, although not totally infertile, any dispute that may arise shall be settled by an arbitrator appointed by the auctioneers and must be lodged within 6 calendar months from date of sale.

We recommend that all purchasers discuss injury insurance of their bulls at the sale with Elders Ltd or their Agent. This guarantee is in addition to the normal terms and conditions governing auction sales.

HEALTH TREATMENTSAll the sale bulls have been vaccinated for Vibriosis prior to sale. We recommend annual boosters are given to all bulls. All of our bulls receive 5 in 1 vaccinations at three-months of age, six weeks later and a booster as a yearling. They are drenched at weaning and periodically according to worm counts. All bulls are from Johnes protected status.

For bulls travelling to tick areas, Minnamurra will agist bulls for up to 2 weeks at the buyers risk until vaccinations can be arranged.

All Minnamurra bulls are examined by a veterinarian prior to sale day which includes palpation of the sexual anatomy and the circumference of the testicles. The jaw is checked for correct bite.

FEED REGIMEThe bulls were paddock reared and have been supplementary fed with pasture hay and pellets since March.

PRIOR USEAll K bulls listed in the sale were used as cover bulls in Minnamurra’s internal commercial AI program last year. They have had minimal use and have been vet and semen tested prior to the sale. They carry the full Minnamurra guarantee.

SEMEN RIGHTSMinnamurra retains the semen rights for inherd use only in a number of bulls in this catalogue, as noted under the lot number. If the right to collect semen is excercised, Minnamurra will consult with the new owner of the bull to arrange a convenient time for collection, with the cost of collection being paid for by Minnamurra.

FREIGHTAll bulls must be transported from Mount Mill by sundown Saturday. Formal possession, risk and expenses passes to the buyer at the fall of the hammer. Minnamurra can arrange transport through, and recommends, Dick Smith Transport.

These heifers are part of Minnamurra’a commercial AI program, and are mostly by Codiak’s So Long George 6Z, the rest being by Anchor E229, who was used as a cover bull. Just 13 months old, these lovely full frame heifers are like peas in a pod. Quiet in temperament, they are used to being handled by horses and dogs, and should fit in the top end of any commercial herd.
