May 2015 1 Club Overview Milnrow Juniors FC is a new and
exciting junior football club, established in July 2014. The Club
is built upon solid long term player development foundations,
underpinned by the belief that new strategies are required to
improve the learning environment for 4-13 year old children, the
critical years for shaping a childs successful participation in
football. The Club is proud to have The Soccer Village, Milnrow as
a base and are delighted to be in the position of providing
football learning and playing opportunities to an estimated 140
youngsters every week. Every child, regardless of ability, is given
the opportunity to improve whilst having lots of fun in the
process. The learning environment is informed and coaching
activities and sessions are connected to individual competencies
and confidence boosting quarterly award ceremonies. The Club was
affiliated to Manchester FA in July 2014 and achieved the
prestigious Charter Standard status in October 2014. In our first
season we entered a total of 7 teams into The Heywood and North
Bury Junior Leagues. Ahead of our second season we already have 11
teams assembled with the prospect of more before the 2015/16 season
kick off in September.

Milnrow Juniors FC May 2015 2 Community Milnrow is a suburban
town (pop. 12,500) within the Metropolitan Borough of Rochdale. Our
Club has been formed to provide a footballing hub for the area,
with the specific aim of attracting local children to get involved
in football. Our new Club provides a pathway / development
opportunities that children age 4-13 years old can follow should
they wish to take their game to the next level. All coaching
sessions are age appropriate and feature two main components
Individual skill development and theme based SSGs (small sided
games). Skill is encouraged, developed and celebrated. This enables
children to become confident and enthusiastic about the game. These
individual skills are then applied in a team environment through
the playing of lots of SSGs, which offer more player participation,
more touches of the ball, more passes attempted, more 1v1s
attempted, more goals scored & more goalkeeper participation.
The Club is proud to be partnered with The Soccer Village, Everton
Youth Academy, and most recently Huddersfield Town FC. These are
exciting partnerships that ensure we are continually able to
provide every child with the very best introduction to the game
along with further development opportunities.

Milnrow Juniors FC May 2015 3 Sponsorships We are currently
exploring funding opportunities that will help sustain our club and
provide us with a platform to grow. Our immediate priority is
supplying our teams with kits. If you own or work in a local
business and are keen to show your support for our club within the
local community, please contact me (Kevin Dunkerley) on 07973
814675 or E-Mail [email protected] I would be
delighted to discuss in more detail what our new club has to offer
to a potential sponsor. (To give an idea of the amount of
sponsorship we are urgently looking for, a mini soccer / junior
team kit typically costs around 300/kit)

Milnrow Juniors FC May 2015 4 Sponsorships What we offer in
return Advertising Opportunities - Club website and social media,
tournament program, monthly newsletters, advertising boards at our
home venue. Exposure - Opportunities to give money off incentives,
receive recommendations to hundreds of parents throughout the Club.
Branding Company logos would appear on team kits front of shirts.
Logos would also be promoted on websites, newsletters, advertising
boards. A sponsor gains the visual awareness of its brand and
builds a feel-good factor thanks to its association with the local
junior Club. Links Sponsors linked with a new and exciting junior
football club, who were fast tracked by Manchester FA to achieve
The Charter Standard award within 3 months of our conception. The
award recognises and rewards high quality levels of provision in
club football. The kitemark is awarded to clubs that are well run,
sustainable, which place child protection, quality coaching and
safety paramount. Cost Effective Marketing A team kit sponsorship
may cost 300, but a direct marketing campaign within the borough
would cost closer to 3,000.
