Overall, we had a strong Q3 with partner sourced LFR and SaaS new ACV revenues growing steadily quarter by quarter across APJ. In addition, partner pipeline generation focused not only on quantity, but quality of deals, resulting in an increase in deal registrations. Q4 represents our largest revenue quarter and our focus is to close out the year strong with your support. My call out to the APJ channel community is simple and straightforward:

Partners show off their skills at DevOps Hackathons in Australia Further to the hugely successful Hackathon with Accenture in the Philippines earlier in Q3, 65 ‘cream of the crop’ Partners from 4 top organizations in Australia showcased their DevOps prowess during two Micro Focus DevOps Hackathons in July; competing against their peers to demonstrate Agile development management with the latest DevOps tools from Micro Focus.
The Micro Focus DevOps Hackathon Competition is an immersive learning experience that challenged technical talents in agile design, development, CI/CD and testing in a live environment to build solutions for a customer use case. In Sydney, Wipro took the winning title over strong competition from JDS and Tata Consulting Services. 8 project teams from Infosys participated in Melbourne and are looking forward to the next hackathon where more teams will compete for the title of ‘DevOps Champions’.

As part of adjusting Arc Sight’s pricing and packaging to align to current market realities, we have separated the appliance into two SKUs – hardware and software. The customer will still receive the appliance in a form factor consistent with how they receive it today. The user experience will remain the same from unboxing, to deployment into production. Key reasons why we are implementing this change:
Customer Flexibility: Customer may start out with a lower EPS and more easily scale up to higher EPS.
Eliminating ArcsSight Express: The new approach allows for a seamless scale up from a low EPS (e.g. 100) to a high EPS (e.g.10k) with nothing more than a license key. No more complex exchanges, etc.
Portability: One of current market realities is migration from traditional data centers to hybrid cloud environments. This approach will enable customers to start with an appliance and realize its benefits in traditional data center needs. As they migrate to hybrid cloud environments, it will be possible for them to move the software off of the appliance and into the cloud environment with minimal to no friction.
In terms of the customer experience as to what they receive, there should be no difference from what it is today. When ordering an appliance it will be necessary to identify the Hardware SKU appropriate for ESM, Logger or Connector Hosting. Then select the EPS tier for the appropriate product that aligns with the customer’s desired capacity. For example, if the order is for a 2500 EPS ESM appliance the two SKUs required would be:

Save the Date for the Vertica Big Data Conference 2020 The Vertica Big Data Conference 2020 has expanded with major news and customer and engineering-led sessions. Be among the first to get important updates and announcements. Vertica and TESISQUARE® – Analytics for the Supply Chain TESISQUARE is a platform that enables customers to design and monitor their digital supply chain ecosystem. The supply chain is affected by many external factors, and the key to success lies in exchanging and sharing transactional data between all parties involved. Many organizations struggle to deliver sophisticated analytic insights to stakeholders, which in turn slows down the supply chain. In order to provide those insights, TESISQUARE introduced the TESI Control Tower, and chose the Vertica Analytics Platform, a state-of-the-art columnar analytic database, to power its solution. Vertica’s ability to quickly ingest, store, and analyze large volumes of data is a critical component of the TESI Control Tower solution, and has enabled near real-time data visibility for customers with complex, multi-enterprise supply chain ecosystems. Their roadmap includes incorporating Vertica’s in-database machine learning capabilities, and adding external data sources such as weather and traffic that can affect the supply chain, all of which will allow customers to improve their strategic planning. The TESI Control Tower, with the help of predictive analytics powered by Vertica, helps TESISQUARE customers significantly improve their time-to-decision, and ultimately leads to a shorter supply chain and cost savings. Alpha Release of Vertica SQL Driver for Go The Vertica SQL Driver for Go provides a Vertica-native implementation of Go’s SQL contract. 6 Months since Launch of the Global Channel Resellers Partner Program I can’t believe it’s already six months since we launched our unified, global channel reseller partner program and portal! As with the launch of any new program or system, there were a few speed bumps we encountered along the way.
