The MyTouch has many different apps to accomplish a wide variety of tasks. These 20 apps fall into five categories that can be combined to form services.

Page 9: MIDPOITS

Utilities:Instead of having apps for each, build the features into the frame-work of the phone. Example - Instead of downloading a pdf from the mobile web; the browser opens it automatically with built in PDF view that handles the situation behind the scenes without the use of an app.

Communication:Combine modes and filter by people. Create a t system that fil-ters and sorts messages/emails/voicemails/calls into a smart list.

Sharing:Use Android’s Intent command to tie sharing into communications smart list.

Entertainment:Use Android’s Intent command to tie entertainment into sharing, communication, and information.

Information:Use Intents to supplement communication, sharing, and entertainment features.

These will allow the user to efficiently access their automatically orgranized data. Our system willl sync with the cloud, expanding use to multiple devices.

Cloud Updates

Michael’s Father can create and organize schedules for his son on their home computer and it will sync with his son’s connected phone. Michael can also use the computer to continue surfing the web or playing games where he left off on his phone.

Page 11: MIDPOITS

Cloud Updates

Michael uses his smartphone mostly to consume information. Whether it be from his friends social media new feed or his parents reminders, he is updated as soon as anything happens by push notifications. These will be organized in order of importance or time sensitivity.

Michael’s mother can use her tab-let to check if he has completed any reminders she sent him or to message his directly.

The interface and form are going to be approached keeping three design principles in mind:

Getting to know the user

Simplifying the user’s life

Notifying them when important

Page 13: MIDPOITS

Interface can affect form.Android’s lastest version replaces physical buttons with vitual keys that are visible when needed.
