Andrew White, Founder of BBP Media Group

Contribution to Midlands Business Award 2020

Andrew White is owner and founder of BBP Media, a group of B2B digital and print magazines. The magazines were founded out of a need to connect his own businesses with the wider Midlands business community, and have grown to become a popular resource for growing and scaling businesses across the region. The Business Post magazine now in it 14th year has editions published in Birmingham, Bristol and Manchester.

As a serial entrepreneur, Andrew has successfully bought and sold business with his most recent venture being a “Free Debt Recovery” business where he has set out to be collecting businesses out of terms and overdue accounts, at no cost to the client.

Andrew is also a member of the London Freemasons.

Contribution to West Midlands Diversity in the Community Award 2020Ninder Johal, Founder of Natural Music LtdIn addition to being founder of Natural Music Ltd, Ninder is on the Board of the Black Country LEP, The West Midlands 5G, Board Governor of the University of Wolverhampton, Elected member of the West Midlands CBI, NED at Accord Housing and BCRS, Trustee of Albion Foundation (part of WBA), Trustee of Victoria Academy. Previously Chair of the Black Country Asian Business Association and Chair of Charity – Steps to Work. He is also a Board member of the West Midlands Growth Company and the West Midlands Combined Authority. He was a runner up in the Sunday Times in 2017 for the Non Executive of the Year awards for his work as President of the Black Country Chamber of Commerce and is now a judge for the Sunday Times/Peel Hunt. He was appointed Deputy Lieutenant of the West Midlands in February 2019 in recognition of his work for the region.

Since winning we have gained more clients within the West Midlands, who were influenced by fact that we had been recognised by the region’s business community. What has impressed you most about the Midlands Business Awards? I was very impressed by the whole judging process, so many other awards just analyse contenders by written communications, whereas the Midlands Business Awards nominees are interviewed by a panel of successful businessmen and women – providing a true peer to peer judging opportunity. Why do you think, in your opinion, it is a good idea for other companies to enter the awards? Brand exposure for any business is key to long-term stable success.
