On behalf of the organizing committee, I take great pleasure in welcoming you to the 5th Middle East Maintenance Conference & Exhibition 2018, hosted by the Gulf Society for Maintenance & Reliability (GSMR) and the Bahrain Society of Engineers (BSE). Since its inception, Maintcon has steadily grown to become one of the region’s premier events for maintenance & reliability professionals. Maintcon 2016 was a highly successful event attended by over 1000 professionals’ regional and global addressing all aspects of maintenance, reliability and asset management.

The theme for Maintcon 2018 is “Innovative Solutions in Maintenance, Reliability & Asset Management” which offers industry practitioners and professionals a world class platform to meet and discuss the latest maintenance, reliability & asset management trends. The technical program features a lineup of regionally and internationally renowned speakers. They will be addressing a wide spectrum of current maintenance, reliability & asset management technologies, issues and challenges. The program will also address solutions to cost effectively minimize operational risks and ensure optimal asset performance.

At this year’s exhibition, we aim to showcase latest industry developments offered by regional and global suppliers of equipment and tools to bring the latest technology to the region. Maintenance and reliability services together with regional maintenance professionals and management will be under one roof to discuss these technologies.

The Gulf Society for Maintenance and Reliability (GSMR) invites you to join us for our fifth biennial conference, Maintcon 2018, November 25 – 28 in Bahrain. GSMR, previously GSMP was established in January 2010 by a dedicated team of maintenance professionals and reliability engineers from major companies around the GCC. We encourage you to join us, as members of the society (www.gsmrgulf.org) and as participants in the conference, where you will have the opportunity to network with other professionals, participate in educational workshops, present your technical papers, and be introduced to new technologies from around the globe.

Since inception GSMR has steadily grown with members from various organizations across the GCC. GSMR organizes regular activities including workshops, seminars, technical dinner meetings in addition to international conferences to engage its members and other professionals. GSMR has also collaborated with various regional and international professional & educational societies to ensure maximum exposure to its members. During the years, GSMR has organized numerous certification programs for its members and other professionals in the field of maintenance, reliability & asset management.

Maintcon being the jewel of the crown, is a premier conference in the Gulf Region organized and conducted by the maintenance, reliability & asset management professionals of the GSMR supported by Bahrain Society of Engineers designed for all maintenance, reliability and asset management professionals.

CONFERENCE TOPICS

Abstracts are invited on the topics outlined and other subjects related to the theme of the conference. Abstracts should be submitted using our online submission form through our website www.maintcon.org. Abstracts should clearly state the subject matter, the objectives and the important conclusions to be presented in the full paper and should not exceed 400 words in length.

The abstract must include the title of the paper, the author’s name(s) and the affiliation including the mailing and the email addresses. Selection of papers will take into account the originality, relevance and likely interest to delegates. Guidelines for the submission of manuscripts for review and the preparation of the final draft will be communicated upon the acceptance of the abstract.

Cancellation Policy:A Sponsor/Exhibitor may cancel their participation in the Conference by giving Conference Organizers notice in writing. If Organizers receives notice of cancellation by 30th April 2018 or before the issue of last conference brochure, the Sponsor/Exhibitor agrees to pay a cancellation charge of 20% of the invoice value as cancellation charges.

If notice of cancellation is received after the issue of last conference brochure or 31st July 2018 the Sponsor/Exhibitor shall be obligated and agrees to pay a cancellation charge of 50% of the total sponsorship/Exhibition fee. If notice of cancellation is received after 1st August 2018, the entire sponsorship/Exhibition fee is due as cancellation charge. In the event of cancellation, Organizers has the full right to use the space for its own convenience, including selling the space to another exhibitor, without rebate or allowance to the cancelled exhibitor. A technical exhibition will be held in conjunction with the technical sessions within the conference venue.
