KnightsThe Knights fought for their lords who fought for their kings. Knights in the middle ages mainly stayed in castles.

● A full set of armour weighed about 60 pounds

● Then they wore leather armour to protect their body.

● During the middle ages the knights wore heavy armour

● Knights wore a cloak so that they can carry the weight of the armor

● By the 1400’s the knights started wearing full plate armour

● A plate mail armor suit was occasionally known as a harness.

● There were two main kinds of armour: chain mail and pail armour

● Bulletproof vest● Bulletproof knee pads● Remote control keypad,

radio and camera located inside their jackets

● Electronic vest located inside their jackets

● Radio and GPS located inside their jackets

● Night vision camera was installed on their helmet

mortar and stone

● Only the lord and his family given adequate heat and other amenities.

● Early castles relied on the surrounding landscape to provide much of the protection.

● Single soldiers live in the barracks which are like dorm rooms

● temporary shelters or huts for various people and animals

● today barracks are usually permanent buildings for military accommodation.

Extra Facts● Defenders throw boiling water at their enemies

to make them fall

● When the attackers start climbing the walls they

would throw anything like furniture, weapons,

water, weapons helmet, stone, animals and

everything at the defender’s disposal

● There horses wore armor too, during wars.
