It has been a busy few weeks at the centre. This term we have welcomed both Junior and Secondary Schools from Rushden, Higham Ferrers and Raunds. The PfS sessions, run- ning after school aim to improve ICT, Liter- acy and Numeracy skills as well as boost confidence, listening skills and teamwork. The sessions reflect our Football setting and use sport to in- spire. During this term the Using maths skills and teamwork the groups an- swered clues to find seat numbers in the stadium. Letters on the clues then needed to be rear- ranged to find three animals. Stadium Tours Lauren Rowe, our  young mentor was nominated for „Outstanding Contribu- tion to Volunteeringin the Children and Young Peoples Shadow Board Awards. The awards, held at Sywell Aero- Award Nomination for our Young Mentor drome celebrated the achievements of  young people in Northamptonshire. Lauren was the young- est in her cate- gory and was shortlisted from 400 applicants for her work at clubs across Northants. What do the children say? I really liked today and I am really looking for- ward to next week, be- cause it is so cool. I really enjoyed myself this week. Looking for- ward to next Wednes- day. Hi I have been here for a few weeks now and I have had a great time. I have made my own foot- ball club and made a dis- play of all of our work. I am so pleased the school chose me to go here. I love these sessions they are fantastic. I have had so much fun. I like coming here. It is awesome. I never want to leave here because they have loads of cool things and I love it here they have got everything I ever wanted. I love coming to dia- monds because it’s cool, really cool.
