Operation Instructions

1. Before you plug the appliance into the electricity supply, fill with water as follows. Pull out the water tank which is located at the bottom on the rear of the unit, using a jug pour clean water into the tank. Always use purified water to prevent the build-up of lime scale within the unit.When filling please take care not to under or overfill, there is a minimum and maximum fill line on the outside of the water tank.Please note: To decrease the air temperature that is emitted by the fan it is possible to place the ice box (included) into the water tank. This will need to be filled with water and placed into a freezer until frozen prior to placing in the water tank.

2. Check the mains voltage and ensure that it matches the voltage on the rating label.Plug the appliance into the mains voltage.

3. Turn the unit on by flicking the red power switch on the right hand side of the unit to the on position. The unit is now ready to use. To turn the unit off completely flick the switch to the off position.

3. Now press the power selector button on the main unit (11) or (1) on the remote control.

4. Select the fan/heater speed by pressing the speed selector button on the main unit (9) or (2) on the remote control. Each press will cycle through the fan speeds (see figure 1 below). The speed indicator LED’s (2) on the main control panel will indicate which fan speed is currently selected.

Figure 1 5. To turn on the oscillating fan mode, press the swing selector button on the main unit (14) or (4) on the remote control. The swing indicator LED (8) on the main control panel will light up to show that the swing mode is activated. The blades of the fan can be adjusted by hand to alter the angle (floor to ceiling direction) at which the air is distributed, this must be done while the fan is switched off. To switch off the oscillation fan mode, press the swing selector button again. The swing indicator LED will switch off to show that the swing mode is deactivated.

6. To activate the humidifying function, press the humidify selector button on the main unit (10) or (3) on the remote control. The humidify indicator LED (5) on the main control panel will light up to show that the humidify mode is activated. To switch off the humidifying function, press the humidify selector button again. The humidify indicator LED will switch off to show that the humidify function is deactivated.

7. The unit has a timer function, which can be set to automatically switch off after the following time intervals ½; 1; 1½; 2; 2½; 3; 3½; 4; 4½; 5; 5½; 6; 6½; 7 and 7½ hours.Press the timer selector button on the main unit (4) or (6) on the remote control. The timer indicator LED’s (1) on the main control panel will light up to show which timer setting is activated. Press the timer selector button repeatedly until you reach the desired setting. To switch off the timer function, press the timer button until the timer indicator LED is not lit up.

8. The unit has 3 different heat settings cold, warm (1000W) and hot (2000W). To alter the temperature of the air output press the hot/cold selector button on the main unit (12) or (5) on the remote control. The hot/cold indicator LED’s (3) on the main control panel will light up to show that which heater function is activated. To switch off the heating function, press the hot/cold selector button until the hot/cold indicator LED’s are not lit up.(See figure 2 below).

Please note:The humidify function cannot be used whilst the heating function is activated.When you turn the fan into standby mode the fan will still operate for 30 seconds to cool down the unit.

Remote Control1. Always purchase the correct size of batteries for this product (2x AAA batteries- not included).

2. Always replace the batteries at the same time. Do not mix old and new batteries.

3. Do not mix alkaline standard (carbon-zinc) and rechargeable (nickel-cadmium) batteries.

4. Clean the battery contacts and also those of the device prior to battery installation.

5. Remove batteries from the device if it is not to be used for an extended period of time.

1. Slide off the battery compartment cover on the back of the remote and install the batteries correctly as marked by the polarity markings (+/-) inside the battery compartment.

2. Refit the battery compartment cover.

Please note:The maximum effective distance for the remote control is 6 metres from the unit.

Using the Ice Box

The unit is supplied with 2x ice boxes which can be used to lower the temperature of the air output of the unit.

1. Fill the ice box with water. Ensure that you observe the maximum fill line marked on the ice box.

2. Place the ice box into a freezer or refrigerator until the water inside has reached the required temperature.

3. Place the ice box into the water tank on the unit.

4. The unit can now be operated as previous instructions above.

Cleaning and Maintenance InstructionsTo clean:

1. Disconnect the power cord from the mains.

2. To clean the air filter screen slide the air filter screen up from the back of the unit. Clean the air filter screen using a neutral detergent and a soft bristled brush or cloth. Then clean the detergent off using clean water.

3. To clean the green pad, this is positioned behind the air filter screen. Push in the plastic tab at the top of the green pad housing, and remove the pad and housing. Remove the green pad from its housing and clean with a neutral detergent and a soft bristled brush or cloth. Then clean the detergent off using clean water. Next reinstall the green pad into its housing and reinstall the housing back into the unit, ensuring that the pad is installed flat, this ensures that no leaking will occur. Finally, reinstall the air screen filter by sliding it back into position on the back of the unit.

4. To clean the water tank, pull the water tank out to its maximum position from the back of the unit. Slide up and remove the water tank filter. Clean the water tank filter using a neutral detergent and a soft bristled brush or cloth. Clean the inside of the water tank using a soft brush or cloth and a neutral detergent. Clean off the detergent using clean water, and dry with a dry soft cloth.

Please note: If you need to clean the tank completely, you can unscrew the screws under the base, and you will also need to unscrew the screw of water pump from inside the tank.

5. Clean the main unit with a neutral detergent and a soft cloth. When you have finished ensure that no water is left on the control panel. Cleaning is now complete.

WARNING: Always unplug the product from the electrical supply before cleaning. Always ensure that the product is completely dry before plugging it back into the mains electricity supply and switching the unit back on.
