CURRENT RESEARCH In addition to preparing several recent and upcoming conference papers and book reviews for publication, I am pursuing some larger projects. For Cognella Publishers of San Diego, California, I am working toward the completion of a world history textbook covering 1500 to the present with a team of three other researchers. I am responsible for Europe, Africa and Oceania. For Routledge Publishers, I have recently agreed to edit a four-volume collection of rare archival documents pertaining to the history of capitalism during the long nineteenth century. This would dovetail with a new research project that a colleague from Spain and I are considering, which would explore the presence or absence of capitalism in the textile trade between England, Holland and Spain.
