Model 211BH-XT for Xtreme peformance has replaced the traditional Model 210BH

The new model 211BH-XT Bullhorn cylinder is the latest in the range of high performance outboard steering systems that is designed to deliver maximum performance with maximum corrosion resistance. It has now replaced the traditional model 210BH and 210BH-HP as the new standard high performance cylinder.

The 211BH-XT comes with extra strong mounting brackets (horns), and extra security using stainless wire retainers for the nuts on the tiller arm pivot, piston rod and tilt-tube rod. This makes it the ideal choice for boats in extreme conditions and using larger HP outboard motors where steering loads are much higher.

The new 211BH-XT is the perfect match for the Model 401 manual helm unit or for the POWERKIT-M12 power steering system for outboards. It provides the same power as the traditional high-performance model 210BH-XT but has a smaller and more compact design with stronger mounting horns for optimum strength - and at a lower cost.

Manufactured from the finest marine brass, bronze and stainless steel it is finished in highly polished chrome plating for stunning good looks. The cylinder is further protected against electrolysis using a unique combination of insulation materials between the motor and the cylinder components. There is no direct equivalent of this design on market.

The solid stainless steel tiller arm and plate arrangement offers an operational strength far greater than alternative ‘hinge’ type cylinder designs and provides the best possible steering geometry for the tiller bolt, ensuring much safer operation under extreme conditions.

The new Commander Series 512T has replaced the traditional model 212T used in the Sportkits and features the new-look ribbed barrel shape and porting, together with electrolytic isolation from the outboard’s tilt-tube - just like the larger 510T. This cylinder offers an economical and corrosion resistant steering solution in an aluminium cylinder design. Featuring a 316-grade stainless steel piston-rod, with chrome-plated brass connection thread and lock-nut, the Commander Series 512T has a superior design and is the logical choice compared with alternative brand aluminium cylinders for both small outboards and power steering on stern-drives.

The new model has now replaced the 212T cylinder in all kits. There will be no price change to the kits or for individual cylinders as they are the same price.

510DE Double-Ended Centre-Mount Cylinder

The 510DE is designed for installation between two outboards, and connected by means of two drag-links to the two outboards’ tiller arms. The most common position for mounting is under swim platforms, marlin boards or onto the transom. A popular means of hydraulically steering outboard powered catamarans, and relies on the installer to tailor two suitable drag-links or tie-bars to complete the installation.

The 510DE cylinder comes in kit form with all necessary fittings including high pressure nylon hydraulic tubing, 2 litres of Ultra-15 fluid, model 501 helm unit and detailed instructions.

Model 212BH-Pro cylinder The new model 211BH-COMPACT Bullhorn cylinder is the latest addition to the new series of cylinders and is designed to replace the Limited-stroke model 212BH - PRO cylinder.

As with the original 212BH cylinder - this compact version of the 211BH cylinder is also a limited-stroke cylinder, having the same dimensions overall as the 212BH and also the same reduced stroke of only 7" or 178mm. It should only be used in installations where the standard full-stroke cylinders such as the 211BH and 511BH are too wide to fit into a restricted engine-well or space.

The new 211BH-COMPACT comes as a compete individual cylinder - or part of a complete steering kit. The OBKIT1-COMPACT includes the model 401 Helm unit, the model 211BH-

COMPACT cylinder, 15 metres high pressure nylon tubing, 2 litres of HyDrive Ultra-15 hydraulic fluid, all necessary fittings, bleeding kit and full instructions.

HyDrive HDSH-05 Marine Steering Hose has been specifically designed for use on low volume hydraulic steering systems for boats. It is designed for use with the Admiral and Commander Series systems and replaces the Parker MSH05 hose we have used in the past. Like the Parker hose, it should not be used on HD Series or larger power steering systems.
