The marks of her life and ministry are all over this church and shine through in every life that she touched. From creating God’s World, to welcoming those with special needs, to making everyone feel special, Ms. Helen certainly left behind an inspiring legacy! Recently our Administrative Council voted to approve a new fund to honor the memory and legacy of Ms. Helen Parrish. Because of her great love for our church, it seemed most fitting to establish The Helen Parrish Memorial Capital Reserve Fund (“Helen’s Fund” for short). The purpose of these funds is to provide for the long-term financial support for major capital expenses and to eliminate all church debt, so that the church may focus on the ministry of making disciples of all people, for the transformation of the world. This fund is different from other designated funds in both how the donations are used and how the funds are approved: Donation Uses: 1. Capital Expenditures: Donations made to Helen’s Fund will be used for expenses that are beyond the scope of the annual Trustees budget. These include major repairs, major renovations, and major building projects. 2. Debt Reduction: 10% of every donation made to Helen’s Fund will be used immediately to pay down the principal on debt held by the church. When the church does not hold debt, 100% of the donation shall remain in Helen’s Fund. Approval of Expenses: Expenses from Helen’s Fund shall be approved in advance with due diligence by the following bodies, in consultation with the Pastors/Clergy: 1)The Board of Trustees 2) The Finance Committee 3)The Administrative Council Our current project is the renovation of the Education Building bathrooms. We feel this honors Ms. Helen in particular by allowing these bathrooms to be conducive for those with special needs. Ms. Helen did a lot of small things with great love. That’s how she made a lasting impact in so many lives. Though we never met her, we have been inspired by her life and her lasting witness through your lives. We believe in Clanton FUMC and our ongoing ministries that make disciples of Jesus Christ. Because of that, we have already invested some of our own money in Helen’s Fund, above and beyond our regular giving. We invite you to prayerfully discern your gift to Helen’s Fund. Each financial gift, no matter how small or how great, is a gift made in good faith that will have lasting impact on every life that is touched through the ministries of our church For questions or more information, feel free to get in touch with either Meghan or Wes. Grace and Peace, Meghan and Wes

IRS Donation Guidelines: The Matthew 25 Fund In order for your donation to the Matthew 25 Fund to be tax-deductible, you must not name a specific person or family when making your gift. (IRS Publication 526, page 6, "Contributions to Individuals"). The Matthew 25 Fund will continue to support people and families in need as always. Thank you to everyone who generously supports our Matthew 25 Fund, helping our Chilton County neighbors!

Dear Church Family, Thank everyone for their thoughts, prayers, cards and phone calls during my recent shoulder surgery. Love, Syble Baldwin

FLOWERS The flowers that were recently given in the sanctuary are in celebration of Mr. Jase Beam’s 1st birthday from his grandmother, Mrs. Robin Cobern. If you would like to have flowers placed in the sanctuary in honor or memory of a loved one please sign-up on the flower calendar in the Main Building located in the warming kitchen and contact a florist listed on the board. After worship services, flower arrangements that are left will be taken to someone sick or homebound with a message attached that says,

“These flowers have been on the altar at your church. They have heard the hymns sung, the prayers offered and the sermon preached. Now, they come to share God’s love with you.”
