Friday that the City and its ChiefAdministrative Officer,
JenniferBridarolli, have agreed by mutual con-sent to terminate her
employment con-tract with the City of Merritt,
effectiveimmediately.
The Mayor said the City is now mov-ing forward with the
recruitment processfor a new CAO. City press release

theoperation of the City and is not a posi-tion that can be
eliminated, despite a
hiring freeze.Its 9-1/2 years since Ms. Bridarolli
arrived from Fernie to take the positionof Administrator,
upgrading it, as it were,from City Clerk Joe Barry. Mayor Bobwas at
the helm back then, and signedMs. Bridarollis contract which
includeda sizable severance in the range of$100,000 in the event of
her leaving theposition. Well, that time has come, how-ever the

Emily
Carr University of Art & Designs Spiritof Place project,
along with several otherBC communities. Claire Burnhams art-work
was selected to represent the localgroups efforts, and the
resulting exhibi-tion travelled the province, and then tothe
Governor Generals residence inOttawa. Now, a new exhibition has
beenannounced as part of the CulturalOlympiad for the Vancouver
wintergames, at Zodiac Square, in the heart ofVancouvers
Chinatown.
Works by young artists from past,present and future Olympic host
citieswill take centre stage at the ChineseCultural Centre
Gallery.
The art show will run February 11 toMarch 21, 2010, open
10am-5pmTuesday through Sunday at Zodiac
Square, 50 E. Pender St., in Vancouver.Admission is free.
