Lesson Proper:

Introduce the lesson on Genetics by showinga picture of Gregor Mendel. Ask the

students if they know him. Tell the students

his biography.

Discussion on genes, its functions/importance

to humans’ individuality and uniqueness.

Write a word problem on the board and

solve it with the students then let them

practice by giving them more exercises.

Have them define chromosomes. Discussion

on number of chromosomes in a normal cell.

Follow-up activity:

  Ask the students to answer page 24 of 

their workbook and pages 39-40 of their

textbook.
