Dear Parents

Thank you to all of the families who joined us for PTA Family Book Night The evening was a celebration of Dr Seussrsquos birthday complete with pizza and plenty of dessert It was a pleasure to see so many families committed to reading with their children A Big Bellflower Thank You to Mrs Kor-zunowski and the Book Night Committee who did an amazing job of organ-izing and running our evening At the conclusion of the evening we raffled off several wonderful prizes including gift cards to Barnes and Noble and a beautiful gift basket

Please remember that with our surprise snowstorm on Tuesday this week Spring ParentTeacher conferences will be held on Monday February 22nd The purpose of the spring conference is to discuss the progress of your child as requested by the teacher or the parent Not all parents have a spring con-ference The Parent Portal is an invaluable tool for keeping up with your childrsquos progress at school I encourage you to check in at least once each week to stay abreast of assignments and grades

Mrs Motiejunas Mrs Burton and I will be hosting Kindergarten Registra-tion on Thursday March 3rd from 600 ndash 800 PM in The Bellflower Com-mons We look forward to meeting our up and coming Bobcats The earlier that we know who our students are allows for more accurate staffing Please let your friends and neighbors know so that they donrsquot miss it

Dismissal If you need to change your childrsquos dismissal please indicate this by using the

Attention 5th grade parents We are beginning to collect pictures for the upcoming 5th

grade graduation slide show We are looking for 4-5 pic-

tures of your child ranging from kindergarten through 5th

grade School-related pictures (class parties field trips

etc) are ideal but not mandatory Pictures including more

than one student would also be helpful

Deadline to send pictures is Friday April 15th to Christine Brown cbrown71attnet

(No hard copies will be accepted) Please send pictures including only 5th grade

Bellflower students We do not have permission to use pictures of students who at-

tend other schools
