1. It is best to have no expectations about ementoring, that way you can’t get let down.
2. Your mentor is not there to help you with your homework.
3. You should write a message to your mentor AT LEAST twice a day.

• The person who matches you with your mentor and looks after your scheme.
• Use them as a first point of contact if you have problems or concerns about your mentor, or if you want to talk about your place on the programme.

• It is your responsibility to keep in regular communication with your mentor and make the most of their knowledge and guidance
Get Protected!
• Avoid giving your email address or phone number to your mentor.
• Don’t agree to meet your mentor unless arranged by your coordinator.
• The ementoring site has some automatic filters, designed to protect you.
• If you write a message containing certain words, like swear words or send an attachment, it will not appear instantly on the site. It will be held until your coordinator or BrightsideUNIAID can check it to make sure it’s ok.
• Key filter words: email, meet, Arsenal…
Confidentiality Statement• The relationship with your mentor is confidential,
EXCEPT where your mentor becomes aware that you may be at risk of being harmed.
• In this situation, your mentor will seek advice about how to help protect you.
• All communication on the ementoring website is monitored by BrightsideUNIAID and your coordinator
