1. Pursuant to DepEd Order No. 26, s. 2021 titled, "Amendment to DepEd Order
No. 016, s. 2017 (Research Management Guidelines), this Division aims to promote a
culture of research by disseminating and utilizing research results, which are crucial
in the achievement of learning outcomes and improvement of the teaching and learning
process. Thus, this Office announces the conduct of the above-captioned activity on
September 23 to 24, 2021 via Google Meet.
2. Relative to this, all School Research Committees (SRC) are required to
undertake the necessary processes to identify one (1) Best Classroom Action Research
for School Year (SY) 2020-2021 by subject, across the eight (8) learning areas including
ALS and SPED.
3. To ensure the smooth conduct of the said congress, the following enclosures
are attached with this Memorandum, for reference and guidance.

DIVISION RESEARCH CONGRESS GUIDELINES
1. The School Research Committee shall submit one (1) Best Classroom Action
Research (CAR) for School Year (SY) 2020-2021 per subject, across the eight (8)
learning areas for the elementary and junior high school, and seve n (7) learning
areas for the senior high school including ALS and SPED.
2. The sub-committee per subject area shall evaluate and choose the top 10 CARs
from the Elementary Level, top 4 CARs from the Junior High School, and top 2
CARs from the Senior High School for each learning area. The selected top 10 best
CARs for the Elementary and top 4 CARs from the Junior High School for each of
the eight (8) learning areas and the selected top 2 best CARs for Senior High School
for each of the seven (7) learning areas will be presented to the sub-committees at
the virtual Division Research Congress on September 23-24, 2021. All identified
teachers in each subject area are required to attend the said congress. (See
indicative program, Enclosure No. 8)
3. The sub-committee per subject will choose the top 1 CAR for each of the eight (8)
learning areas in Elementary and Junior High School, and seven (7) learning areas
for Senior High School including ALS and SPED. All selected top 1 CARs will be
the official entries to the 6th Division Research Conference on September 29-30,
2021.
4. All manuscripts, in PDF format, must be electronically submitted via email at
[email protected]. The hard copies of the manuscripts, the list
of best researches (Enclosure No. 3), and the list of attendees by learning area
(Enclosure No.6) shall also be submitted to the Planning and Research Section on
or before September 3, 2021.
5. The Abstract should consist of 200-300 words only. The full manuscript shall not
exceed 8,000 words, following the structured format:
Abstract

Results and Discussion
Conclusion
Recommendations
References
6. The oral presenters shall be guided by the following pointers:
a.) The oral presentation will run for 20 minutes, with additional 10 minutes for
the open forum.
b.) The facilitator will show the metacard to signal that the given time has been
consumed, and that will give way to the open forum.
7. Certificates of Appreciation will be given to all the researchers whose names were
submitted to the Division Sub-Research Committee. Certificates of Recognition will
be given to the researchers of the top 10 Best CARs from the Elementary Level, the
top 4 CARs from the Junior High School, and top 2 CARs from the Senior High
School for each learning area who presented their papers during the sub-
committee virtual presentation.
