MEMBERSHIP DIRECTORY UPDATES

Dear RMSG Members,

Thank you for all those beautiful cards with such beautiful verses and the personal notes.

I have read them several times. They make me feel the hugs that go with our Utah family. Also thanks for the many

phone calls. It was so nice to hear your voices.

[A note from Betty MacGregor whose husband Jim passed away recently]

Betty Vaughn had surgery on two broken vertebrae last Sunday (she fell the previous Friday) and after a short stay in

the hospital, she is now home .

Sam will be having lung surgery a week from this Friday, on April the 4th. He will be at the Huntsman's Cancer Cen-

ter. Sam has lung cancer. He has the best Dr. possible for this surgery. He is the Division Head for Huntsman's, Uni-

versity Hospital and the Veterans Hospital.

I have decided to get this information out there so that Sam can receive all the positive energy possible from all his

friends and family.

Please keep him in your prayers.

Join fellow RMSG members on Friday, May 23 for FINISHING TOUCHES at 10:00 a.m. for the rehearsal per-

formance of the Utah Symphony at Abravanel Hall in downtown SLC. Please purchase tickets prior to the day of the

rehearsal. If purchased 5-10 days in advance, the discounted price is $12.90; if purchased one day in advance the

price is $15.50. Call Sean at 801-869-9046 to purchase tickets and for other questions. The Utah Sympho-

ny will be rehearsing: Nielsen’s Symphony No. 6 Sinfonia Semplice; Tchaikovsky’s Variations on a Rococo Theme for

Cello and Orchestra; and Rachmaninoff’s Symphonic Dances. Thierry Fischer is the conductor and Matthew Zalkind

plays the Cello.

As we wrap up our fiscal year, it is time to plan for our 2013-2014 Charitable Contributions. Application for Donation

forms went out with the April Oasis and need to be returned to Gail Senteney no later than April 25. I am happy to

say that I have already received one request. By May 31, 2014 Linda Rogers, Treasurer, will determine the funds availa-

ble for donations once outstanding debts for the current fiscal year are paid. Last year’s June luncheon presenting the

donations checks to the recipients was such a huge success we are repeating it this year. La Jolla Grove at Gateway

will be our destination!

The 2012-2013 Charitable Contributions went to the following:

Family Promise

Tony Milner

Assistance League of SLC

Susan Ericksen

Hearts for Paws

Laurie Epperson The Children’s Center

Courtney Garay Make A Wish Foundation
