Brownsville, Tennessee is steeped in music history and home to rock and roll icon Tina Turner and blues pioneer Sleepy John Estes. Each Memorial Day weekend we celebrate this heritage with the Exit 56 Blues Festival at the West Tennessee Delta Heritage Center. Blues musicians from around the mid-south are invited to entertain guests from all over the world. On Saturday, a full day of up-and-coming and seasoned performers also includes an arts and crafts show, Corvette car show, a “cruise-in” of hot rod and antique vehicles and some of the most appetizing food you’ll sink your teeth into. And, if you’re up for it, take a shot at dethroning last year’s Deep-Fried BBQ Eating Champion! Join us again on Sunday for our Women in Blues performances.
