Made in America Store Continues its Lucky 7’s Streak with 700th Bus in 2017

“Tour Bus from Illinois Focused Spotlight on Latest Milestone for All American Store in Western New York”

On Thursday, Oct. 19, 2017, the Made in America Store welcomed the 700th tour bus to visit the store since it first opened in 2010. “Wow! I’m speechless,” said Mark Andol, founder and CEO of the only department store in the U.S. to only sell 100% American Made Products. “Never did I, a simple welder turned manufacturer, imagine that so many tour buses would come to my store in Elma, New York, less an hour from Niagara Falls. But they did!” The growth of the original Made in America Store prompted the opening of its much larger replacement right next door in May 2016. After the new store opened, Andol greeted the 500th, 600th and 700th bus within 17 months. ”In the last few weeks, we’ve welcomed bus grouprs from North Dakota, Oklahoma, Kansas, Missouri, Iowa, Nebraska, Illinois, Wisconsin, Indiana, Kentucky, Tennessee, Michigan and our next-door neighbors from Ohio and Pennsylvania,” Andol continued. “We were proud to host two reunion groups of U.S. Navy veterans from across the U.S., including veterans from California and Florida.” Through the Made in America Store World Distribution Center, the company wholesales products to other retailers – a total of 7 different retailers. This leg of the business offers huge growth potential, given the increasing demand for American Made Products nationwide and the absence of these products on the vast majority of store shelves. The Made in America Store now carries 7,000 products, 100% American Made, another Lucky 7 feature. “Virtually every bus that visits has passengers on board asking us to open a store where they live. That’s the reason we started the ‘store-in-store’ option, where retailers can start with an end cap or other modest display and increase the number of American products they sell as the word gets out and demand fuels their growth,” Andol added.

Schedule a visit by calling Dorothy Furtney at (716) 652-0024.

Winter Wonderland

The sights and sounds of the holidays can be found throughout the state of Wisconsin. Holiday performances, twinkling lights, delicious treats, and amazing decorations are bountiful around every corner in our big cities and small towns. And if you’re lucky, your groups may be able to enjoy a taste of a white Christmas.

Milwaukee Food and City Tours has several different holiday experiences for groups to enjoy the tastes of the season. Tour a variety of bakeries and shops throughout Milwaukee to sample delicious holiday cookies, candies and other sweet treats. Head south to Racine to visit the authentic Danish bakeries in the area, where the Kringle is king. You’ll want to try the Seven Sisters Coffee Cake…yummy! Carol along with your guide as your group traverses the streets of downtown

Milwaukee and marvel at the beautiful holiday décor in the city parks, streets and windows.

While in Milwaukee a visit to the beautifully decorated Capt. Pabst Mansion is a must see. Each room is meticulously decked out to appeal to all of your holiday senses. Not to be out staged, the Milwaukee Public Museum highlights the holiday traditions of years-gone-by with festive decorations throughout the Streets of Old Milwaukee and the European Village exhibits. Be sure to look for the traditional upside-down Christmas Tree!

Travel north of Milwaukee, to experience the magic of mid-19th century Christmas at the Wade House Stagecoach Hotel. Yankee and German holiday traditions are celebrated with fresh garlands, crafts and horse-drawn wagon rides. Nutcracker in the Castle at the Paine Art Center is an unique and visually beautiful encounter with this timeless holiday tale. Each room magically decorated to showcase the story of Clara and the Nutcracker Prince.

Drive-thru holiday light displays are throughout the towns, villages and cities around the state. Along the Mississippi River in La Crosse enjoy the more than 4,000,000 lights that illuminate Riverside Park. Among the splendor is a 140-foot Christmas tree and animated light displays throughout this holiday wonderland. On the opposite side of the state in Sheboygan, Making Spirits Bright is the gift to the community by the three local

Rotary Clubs. The 1.1-mile forested route is alive with animated and still-life displays with hundreds of thousands of lights choreographed to music heard through the motorcoach radio.

Holiday entertainment can be found throughout your travels in Wisconsin. Each year the Fireside Theater offers a must see festive production and on the schedule for 2018 is “Elf the Musical”. In the Wisconsin Dells, the Palace Theater continues its seasonal tradition of presenting an All – New Holiday revue, “Christmas at the Palace,” that will be enjoyed by everyone on your coach. This heart-warming show is packed full of classic and contemporary song and dance, stunning costumes and dazzling sets.

Get off the coach and enjoy a stroll amongst the lights and displays at one of two beautiful holiday wonderlands. The Janesville Rotary Gardens boasts 100 beautifully decorated trees, over 2,500 luminaries, 500 dangling icicle lights hung from the tallest trees in the Garden and more. Head north to the Green Bay Botanical Gardens to experience the magic of the season with more than 250,000 twinkling lights. Discover a spectacular array of botanical-themed light displays, featuring an enchanted icicle forest, glistening flowers, a dazzling 60-foot walk-through caterpillar and so much more. The show is topped off with the area’s tallest and brightest shining tree. Enjoy this stunning winter landscape by foot or take a horse-drawn wagon ride.

Top off your holiday tour with a visit to Madison to marvel at the state Christmas tree showcased in the Wisconsin State Capital Building’s breath-taking rotunda. Beautiful light displays, indoors and out; holiday decorations; carols and storytelling; scrumptious treats and more are all part holiday festivities in Wisconsin that are sure to put you and your guests in the Holiday Spirit.
