Key areas of manufacturing expertise 1.1 Hydro equipment – has been produced in CKD Blansko since 1904. During this period CKD Blansko has gained a strong position among suppliers of hydro electric power plant technologies throughout the world. The total installed capacity exceeds 17.5 GW. Due to our vast experience in the industry we can offer our customers well-proven quality and are able to meet the most demanding requirements, whether in the efficiency of the turbines or in environmental standards. With regard to new hydro equipment or new turbines CKD Blansko can provide custom-made projects from design through manufacturing, assembly, testing and staff training, using own team of experienced professionals.

3.2 Welding • Welding procedures and operations performed in accordance to requirements of EN ISO 3834-2, certified by TUV NORD and audited on annual basis since 2001 • Production of welded parts is performed in accordance to various product certificates standards with regard to customer’s requirements • Welding certificate for steel and hydraulic fabrications according to DIN18800 and DIN 19704 awarded by SLV Berlin • Supervision carried out in accordance to EN ISO 14 731 standards, supervisors are qualified for adapting welding technology at the level of EWE/IWE, EWT, EWS and EWP • Technicians are qualified to compile welding specifications and procedures including WPS documentation

3.2 Welding • Welders and operators are qualified and audited on annual basis in accordance to standards EN 287-1, EN 1418 and according to ASME Code Section IX • Applied welding technologies for individual welding methods are based on qualified welding specifications compiled with regard to standards EN 288 and EN 156xx (WPAR and WPQR documents) and PQR documents (ASME Code Section IX) • Welding is performed on various materials and includes low- and high-alloyed steels, bronze alloys and grey cast-iron • Welds are tested in accordance to standards of EN 473, Regulation STD 301/E/95, ASME Code Section V, CCH 70-3, EN standards or other customer’s requirements • Performance of inner and outer surface weld deposits made by stainless steels or bronze alloys of various properties with various methods
