PRESIDENT’S CORNER….
First of all, let me thank all of you that came to the May meeting atOvermountain Vineyards! What an awesome turnout, I was happilysurprised with the large crowd, and such a fun evening. Mike, your made agreat suggestion and I thank you for putting this together. Our June meetingwill be the covered dish dinners we’ve had in the past. Please see Jan’sarticle for more information.
The club will be working Music on Main in June, so if you have notcontacted Alison already about working, please do so. This is our largestfundraising event of the year. If you have other ideas for fundraising, pleasedon’t hesitate to let a board member know.
We are thinking about returning to Flat Rock Playhouse for another Sundaymatinee, and of course dinner in Hendersonville. Look for more information
elsewhere in this newsletter.
For those of you who were not aware (or didn’t want to believe it to be true, like me), we are sad to see Robert and Vilma Voll leave our club. As ofMay 29, they will be on their way back to Austria to live permanently. Theyhave been loyal and lively members of our group for many years. They willbe truly missed, but we wish them well and happiness as they leave us.
Summer is a lot of our “Outing” part of the ski club, so stay involved and Iwill look forward to seeing you all out there at our meetings and events.
See you soon,
Conni HarrellPresident, SSOC

July Mini-Social, Caro-Mi Dining RoomWednesday, July 15, 2015, 6:30 PM
Tryon, NC
By mid July we will likely need cooling off so let’s go just north ofTryon, NC and dine beside a cool stream at Caro-Mi. As most of us know thisis a well established dining experience that includes such sides of slawthat is very kin to sauerkraut, macaroni salad, green beans, baked apples, grits with red eye gravy and biscuits. This goes well with your countryham, mountain trout or fried chicken. But I will shut up and you can lookat their website http://www.caro-mi.com.
More next month.

Got a Family Reunion, birthday or anniversary party? How about that block party in your neighborhood? It sure would be good to keep thesun off your back or shield you from that unexpected rainstorm. Non-members may rentthe tent as long as a member in good standing signs for it. Rent is $35.00 for a day. Wealso have 4, 6 foot tables for rent, for $5.00 a piece. Get in touch with Joy Bobo at 433-0802, or me, at 592-3405 for more information or to make your reservation. Thanks.
