Meet RWPs New Program Direc- I have been involved with Ride With Pride for about 13 years now. When I was 10 years old I received riding lessons from the previous director, Debbie Winters, and when I was 13 y/o I began volunteering. When I was 21 y/o I became Supervisor, and now at 23 y/o I am the current Pro- gram Director. This past May I graduated from Bridgewater College with a Bachelor of Science in Sociology and a minor in Social Work. I have in- terned at People Places Inc. (a foster care agency in Staunton) and men- tored foster children. My mom started my passion for horses when she sat me on the back of her horse before I could even walk. I have owned horses my entire life and enjoy being around them (as they are the best therapists in the world). I started showing competitively when I was 13 years old in the Hunter Jumper English Discipline. I now spend most of my free time trail riding with good friends and I will occasionally show Dressage, Show Jumping, and Cross Country. I am absolutely honored and humbled to take this position. I'm looking forward to the positive things to come and the growth of the program. A very special thank you to Steve McDonough from McDonough Toyota & Scion in Staunton for being a Ride With Pride stall sponsor. Through our donors, our program is able to grow and expand allowing us to provide the best possible services to our students and horses. RWP’S New Stall Sponsor Our Mission: To serve those in greater Augusta County with physical, emotional and developmental special needs through a wide range of therapeutic equine activities.

Many years age I met Regina...she had Spina Bi-fida, lived in a foster home, and I came to see her ride and to a Halloween Party at your won-derful facility. Well, her Foster family divorced and her health deteriorated and she ended up in a series of nursing homes. For 15 yrs I took over her care until she died a few years ago. But one of the highlights of her whole life (and there were not too many of those for her) was going to Ride With Pride and riding a horse names La-dy. So I thank you for making her life a little better and giving her wonderful memories that lasted her short life.

A Thank You from a Grateful Donor
