THE YEAR AHEAD FOR A MASTERS STUDENT

This represents the typical year for a student with an accounting undergraduate degree. Non-accounting majors and all international students are admitted with additional course requirements and take two years to complete the program.

CONNECTING STUDENTS AND PROFESSIONALS

An integral component of the MSAIA program involves partnering with professional firms. Public accounting firms, consulting organizations, and corporate partners lend their expertise. Partners contribute to the classroom experience by providing unique insight, experience and talent. Professionals present materials alongside professors and interject their experiences and understanding of practical issues to enrich the learning experience.

CONDITIONAL OFFER OF ADMISSION

While most applicants have an undergraduate degree in Accounting, applicants who have not completed the proper background courses may receive a conditional offer of admission and will be required to complete foundation course work prior to beginning regular MSAIA course work. Foundation coursework will not count toward the 30 credit hours required for the degree. If you must fulfill prerequisites, you may enroll in them at Lehigh in the summer; otherwise, regular coursework is sequenced and begins each fall.

Due to I-20 student visa policies, international students cannot receive conditional admission, therefore, they must complete all prerequisites before receiving admission.

THEORY AND PRACTICE IN PERFECT BALANCE

Lehigh’s faculty are researchers and teachers who offer a wide-range of business experience, expertise in their fields, and commitment to teaching and learning. Students and faculty work side-by-side in our various centers, such as the Financial Services Laboratory.
