The Medical Director-General is th e au tho rity for arranging cases for consultation, and Medical Officers-in-Charge are required to forward details of each case in accordance w ith the regulations laid down in B .R. 677—Instructions for N aval H ospitals, etc., Article 86 (see also B.R. 677(2) and relevant A dm iralty F leet Orders). 5. Abroad, the services of th e nearest N aval, M ilitary or Air Force specialist available should be utilised, b u t where one is no t available, th e Medical Officers- in-Charge of R.N . Hospitals, H ospital Ships and R.N . A uxiliary H ospitals abroad, and F leet Medical Officers, are authorised to call in a civilian consultant under the conditions laid down in Instructions to N aval H ospitals, Article 86 (4) as am ended by A.F.O. P.345/39.
