The D.L. Ricci Corp. “3 axis” PortableMilling Machines are our most versatile andaccurate machines, capable of traveling andmachining in all axis (XYZ). They are ideal formachining large & small rectangular areasaccurately and may be clamped or bolteddirectly onto the part being machined.

If clamping or bolting is impossible,fabricatedset-up jigs and parallel mounting fixtures canbe used to position the milling machines inplace for milling operations. The Portable

Milling Machines can be mounted in any position,even upside down and are simple to set-up and oper-ate. When used with a facing mill, the Portable MillingMachines do a quick job of facing off pitted or mis-aligned surfaces, restoring the original condition ofthe part being machined. Servo power feeds are avail-able for all axes, allowing the application of smoothand consistent power feed throughout the speed range,both in forward and reverse.

The D.L. Ricci Corp. (Z) Axis MillingMachines are single axismachines that are designed for precision boring and drilling alongthat single axis. The machines areavailable in several sizes depending on the individual on-site application. Each milling machinecan be fitted with pneumatic orhydraulic drive motors and anoptional servo feed system.

Rigidity and accuracy are maintained through a pair of heavy dutyspindle bearings and precision ground, hand fit, dovetail slides.

The lightweight, economical and highly portableMini-Mill from D.L. Ricci Corp. is ideal for on-sitemachining small areas accurately. Able to machinein all axis (XYZ) these portable mills may beclamped or bolted directly onto the part beingmachined or fabricated. Set-up jigs and parallelmounting fixtures can be used to position theseMini-Mills for difficult work area conditions. Anymachinist familiar with machining practices will findthe MIni-Mill simple to set-up and operate evenupside down.

The Mini-Mill has 3” of “X” travel, 3.25” of “Y” travel and 2” of “Z” travel. It accepts end mill shanks of 3/4” in diameter.

The air motor powered Mini-Mill machine tool is designed for rugged on-sitemachining such as milling, drilling and boring applications on jobs that werepreviously thought to be impossible without extensive disassembly. Theadjustable gibs provide smooth and accurate travel in all axes.

The XYZ Keyway Cutter offers all the featuresof our standard D.L. Ricci Corp. Keyway Cutterplus the capability of 3 axis milling. This versatility in milling allows users a variety ofcreative machining options without costly dismantling. The XYZ feature assists in themachining of keyway grooves with more exacting specifications.

Our line of heavy duty Keyway Cutters are available in 6”, 12”, and 24”lengths and these models give us the range to cut keyways in shaftsfrom 4” to 24” in diameter. Our Keyway Cutters can mount on the endor anyplace along the shaft, even upside down. With the “V” type mount-ing base the Keyway Cutter will self center onto an existing shaft oncethe machine is clamped into place. The flexibility of mounting optionsplus the XYZ axis rotation allows the recutting of worn keyways ormachining of new keyways quickly and accurately. This versatile andcost savings tool is also useful for cutting motor mount slots and othermilling operations.

Easy handling and operation are inherent in the compact modulardesign which allows set-up in confined work areas. The D.L. RicciCorp. XYZ Keyway Cutter comes with an electric drive motor.

The Keyway Cutter is a small portable millingmachine that can clamp on the end or anyplace along the shaft and re-cut worn keyways or cut new keyways in-place. With the “V” type mounting base, the KeywayCutter will self center onto an existing shaftonce the machine is clamped in place. TheKeyway Cutter is capable of cutting keywaysup to 1” wide.
