ME2110 Design Competition

• The ME2110 Design Contest is the largest

event in ME with over 400 spectators,

industry officials& judges and competitors

participating in the event

• The main project is a 9 week, constrained

resource (<$200) team engineering design

project

• Design, build and test an autonomous

device that must perform multiple tasks of

varying complexity

• Competition tasks are constructed to

create an under-constrained design

problem based on a main theme

• Cargo Crisis: Pirates of the Horn

• Avatar

• Repeatability is critical: ~10 consecutive

wins required to win the competition
